What are your Black Friday plans?

Last year when I learned what Black Friday was--after it had passed, of course--I decided I was going to save up money throughout the year to buy stuff the next time it came around. Spruce up my room and whatnot. But noooooo. I had to go and get this go kart idea stuck in my head, and now all my savings are going to go to that. I screwed up my own plan because I forgot what my plan was! So no purchases for me this year. Maybe next time.

Same as every year... Stay indoors, stay safe, and stay away from all the idiots running around with their heads cut off.

Last Black Friday, I had a hour to shop before people came in ^^" So the employee's had to buy their stuff and hide it. I don't know their plans this year, so I don't know if they will let us do it again.

I get to work, I have to be in at 10 and I'll probably leave around 3. I do all my shopping on the internet.

K-Mart's selling MGS Essentials for $10 on Thanksgiving day (I need Substance), but other than that... playing TDU and working on my Technical Writing report, I suppose. Best BF deals list I've found here.

+1 on working at Target, but I can hide in the back and prepare my signs all day (adset) :sly:
Guest Attending is a pain sometimes (for example:I have to close the Weds before black friday) though all I do that day is guide people and carry outs.

Throw down in Chicagoland. It's been long enough since I've been down there, so it should be quite the rage. I predict a riot!

Lay around,eat whatever leftovers,play PS3.:sly:

Same. Sleep in. Not going to even try to burn off that 4325 pounds of food I ate the day before. Yeah. Just chillax. :)

Lucky you. Not the case at the Target I worked at. However, I still have my 10% discount card (and another co-worker's number, too should they not accept it), so I plan to use it on a bunch of new goodies.

Also hoping there's something I can buy for my cars that are available for discount on Black Friday.

I'll be working... At Steve & Barry's (now in a bankruptcy court near you!).

I'm doing the closing shift, which means that I'll be in around 2PM and probably leave somewhere around 11PM, presumably placing open boxes on the floor while people proceed to take items out of them like a vacuum.

*sigh*

My fifth and final Black Friday at Steve and Barry's. Its kinda sad...

My older Brother started to shop at Steve and Barry's, the Big Ben shoes ( I call them Dare Devil's) and a few items are at good prices.

Black Friday...I will be paid to do absolutely nothing. That sounds good to me :). Paid "holidays" FTW.

I’ll probably be at home. Studying metabolic biochem. And structural biochem. And fluid dynamics.

NUMB3RS isn’t on that Friday for some reason. Damn.

Probably buying a Garmin Nuvi 250 from Newegg for $50 off. I assume that won't sell out at 12:01 a.m. ;)

Otherwise, I have to work from noon to six so I wouldn't be able to catch any deals anyway, not that I would try to fight the crowds.

I too work at target. I work in electronics. And I have to open on black friday, so that will be LOTS of fun.

I'll probably stay at home. There isn't really anything I need so badly to fight crazy people and queue for hours. I might swing into Office Depot an hour or so after they open and see if they have any of the Acer 22" monitors left, just so I can have a matching set in my room (already own one), but as woot had the same monitor for the same price (129.99) I probably won't go out of my way about it.

Gone out the last two Black Fridays, and it's just not worth the hassle these days.

I'll be washing the cars of all of the assholes going out to shop on black friday for 11 hours, nice.

Thats exactly what I will be doing. I will stay home and try to make some more progress on the 20+ xbox360 games I am backlogged on.
That Samsung 40" LCD HDTV for $799 is the only thing that looks good because it is usually $1399.

Go into college and get on with assignments. Spending may involve a trip to the canteen/coffee shop.

Being off that day sleeping in, maybe some PS3.
But the day before, Thanksgiving at Kroger is probably the busiest day of the year along with Christmas Eve. I bet we'll sell more turkeys than what my post count is. :P
At least everyone there will be in a good holiday spirit.

What's black friday? Random crazy sales day or something? Here in Britain we have those too, except now that we're in an economic crisis and every retailer is panicking, we only have them on the days that end in 'd', 'a' and 'y'.

I plan on doing nothing, and thanking god i dont work retail. ill probably see what movies are on tv, probably watch some movies on tv that i have on dvd and can skip the commercials on. and then wish i had just watched the DVD but its to late now. lol

and ill probably play san andreas too

Sorry guys, this thread is more "stealth spam"... the original post was a clone of a thread that is all over the web, and the intention behind the thread is not what it appeared to be.

This sort of cut-and-paste commercial spam annoys me because it wastes the time and energy of our members who are responding in good faith, without realising the actual purpose of the thread (i.e. commercial spam). Hence, this thread cannot be allowed to continue, so as to provide the original spammer and those like them with a firm message that this kind of behaviour will not be tolerated.
