This is gonna sound like a very n00bish question but i'm guessing it's easy to answer so you can't mind taking a crack at it...right?

I just beat the beginner FR challenge and won the 67 skyline. Why is it that the sunday cup's prize is worth 8k and the one-up race to it has a worse value? can I do something with the skyline and sell it for more or am I not supposed to sell a prize car?

I see myself in the future playing cheaply, easily getting Golds on sunday cup and selling autobianchi's, which would be boring. So what do I do with prize cars when I get them, in order to play gt4 efficiently?

You sort of answered your own question inside the question.
There is a place to race almost every car.
Here's a quick money trick = the second race in Special Condition Events is the Capri Rally at Costa di Amalfi where you will usually race against a Lancia Delta or a Celica.
A decently fast street car will easily win and the prize car is a Toyota RSC Rally Raider that is worth $235,000. Do the two races over and over and keep selling the Toyota.
Easy money to get you a nice financial jumpstart.
Also, check the used cars frequently.

after that save up your money to buy and tune a mercedes slr mclaren, and tune it fully. Then use it to race the legends of the silver arrow and get the mercedes touring car. tune that a bit, then race the german touring car cup on b spec x3. the prize car for that race is worth 700,000 credits, sell it. in the end you get about 900,000 credits for only 20 minutes of racing.

IMHO going straight for the big bucks using the DTM trickie can seriously spoil the fun part of startin up a new GT4 game. I found it much more satisfying to use those 10000cr, buy a decent used car, win what you can with it, then race prize and licence-cars. Only when I couldn't win any more races, did I eventually buy my second car.

But the nice thing about GT4 is it's vast nature. Take on any approach you feel like.

Good luck :)

Well I can make a hat, or a brooch. A pterodactyl!

If you want more variety in your garage, don't sell the car. Most prize cars barely even give you a good amount of credits, and there are other ways to make money, rather than selling a prizecar that you don't have already. What can you do with it? Race it in other races in sim (or arcade) mode, tune it, take pictures... whatever so your heart desires
