Not our one, but is the same colour.

Then it was a 1980 Toyota Corona. Then a Toyota Hiace with column shift.

The car that I learned the basics of driving in was my first car. Auto 03 Honda accord 2L.

Learned to drive stick in my second car. Man. 05 WRX Wagon self taught ;) was a little scary but I knew the concept and it didn't take long.
The Day I got it. Lots has changed haha

First car I ever drove on the road was my moms 2009 Ford Focus SE. It had adequate power and I enjoyed it. Power delivery was actually pretty smooth. Took a minute to get a feel for the car though.

Offroad I've driven all sorts of things.

A 1977 Monte Carlo. I even took my driver's test in it, which included a maneuverability portion.

A few years later I got my first manual transmission car. It was much smaller and more maneuverable than the massive Monte Carlo, but it had its own issues and a fiery reputation. One good thing about learning to drive a manual on hills is that no one tailgated a Pinto.

I learned in a 1.2 Vauxhall Corsa diesel. Was absolute crap! I occasionally learned in a 1.6 Audi A3 diesel too, that was better, much more refined and quieter but couldn't get used to the clutch.

In my previous post, I forgot to mention that I'm learning manual on a 1991 Ford F-250. It has a 300ci I6, 4 speed manual (with granny 1st gear and overdrive), and I've driven it 3 times. The first time, I was so nervous, and I stalled a bunch of times. I just drove around my neighborhood and got the feel for shifting and starting. I don't really count the second time, because I just drove it for like 5 minutes down the road because he was having problems with the alignment. The 3rd time is when I done my best, though. I drove it about 10-15 miles, in my neighborhood and on the road in front of my neighborhood (55mph limit) and I did really well. I used to accidentally shift from 3rd to O/D instead of 3rd to 4th, but I got it right every time. I stalled it once, 2 minutes before I got home :irked:

I have a lot of fun driving it, which is odd considering it's a big truck with 160hp.

Probably because that 300 I6 has a behemoth amount of torque especially in the low RPMs. I had one in our truck before we put a V8 in it, and that thing had a lot of ass. 175hp will damn near 300lb-ft of torque. Yours is a EFI so its actually about 175hp. Granted, it wasn't a speed demon and you wouldn't win any races but it would pull a house down if you'd let it.

Specs I've found say the '91 300 has 150 horse and 285 torque. None of them in the modern era kicked out above 160

I have a Haynes manual for '94 that says it churned out a healthy 175/290.

Must be values changed depending on who dynoed it. I know the stock head is rather garbage for it and minor work really wakes that motor up. His is probably tired though given the age so less power is probably likely though. Hell of an engine.

I know the computer carbed one I had in my '85 had like 130, if that  Still had a lot of torque though.

I think the different power figures are just a result of being tested by different people. The stats I've heard for that engine are 160hp and 260lbft.

Mainly my mom's '98 Cavalier, automatic. There was my dad's old '93 Escort wagon I was trying to learn manual in, but he's extremely impatient and I couldn't stand being in the car with him so I gave up. That was about six years ago. I'll smooth out my rough edges when I get the car for my project, if I don't give in and bug my sister to borrow her car.

1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd.

Almost an exact doppleganger of the one in the picture.
