What car for Schwarzwald League B (Extreme)

With my level nine ticket I got a BMW 328i Touring car with 249bhp. Initially I was thrilled, then I tried it and it was kinda slow. I didn't feel like buying a new car when I got to this race so I tried it (I was already convinced I'd need to get a better car) & decimated the competition. Even though the car wasn't very fast it stuck like glue in the corners which allowed me easy wins. 👍

Edit:I think I made a mistake, if there are racing cars in this race then I am wrong about which series I did with the 328i.

Wait what? Schwarzwald, what does Schwarzwald have anything to do with GT5???

There are two event sets called Schwarzwald A and Schwarzwald B. Schwarzwald refers to the Black Forest area of Germany.

The events are only open to German cars although they don't take place entirely in Germany.

yea lets use a japanese car for a german car race

on topic, i used an ABT Audi TT touring car, very easy.

Makes about as much sense as using a NASCAR stock car with pretty much 99% of it American in a Japanese race.

Add to that the German Championship allowing a Lexus....

DTM could have Japenese cars if Japanese OEM wants to enter....where as in this series its German make only....

Well, Toyota Motors Europe is a German-registered company, so it's not as strange as you might think!
Understood the point, but then why isn't the NASCAR Camry classified as American?

I was surprised to see the Lexus allowed as well but this event is not just for German cars. It is for cars that fall into the Touring car class and apparently the Lexus fits the bill. You'll notice that the Alfa touring car is also allowed which is Italian.

This:

Not a very fair fight though. Considering that the opposition isn't very extreme at all, most fastish cars on sticky tires should do...

Any nice German car will work really. I've won the race at the 'ring with an M3, M5, SLS AMG, C63 AMG, R8, the list goes on and on. It's a nice way to test German high performance cars and get some money out of it.

sorry, but bs: you find locally registered sales & distribution divisions of all bigger car manufacturers over the world.

Not BS at all, really - Toyota have very strong links with Germany. TME isn't just a sales/distribution division you know :D

The point raised above about DTM being open to all touring cars that fit the build formula is of course correct, I was merely trying to make the additional point that given Toyota's efforts in Europe it's somewhere they'd want to be (albeit using the Lexus re-brand).

The Alfa was an official entrant into the DTM so it's logical it would also be allowed to race in the GT5 version.

I ended up using my SLS with lightweight mod. Havent won the C63, i guess thats a Gold prize in a AMG event?

This^. And if anyone bothered to read the car description, it would be instantly clear why the Lexus was allowed in the DTM race. Because it's a prototype designed to fit into the DTM regulations.

Whereas the Japanese race is a brand restriction, and Toyota was Japanese last time I checked.

On topic: for A-spec, it all depends on your driving skills. Some stock AMG will probably do. But there's quite a number of cars that will do.

For B-spec, your driver should be able to beat this with a stock SLS with Sports Soft tyres at this point (Level 20).

I took a different route — I used a fully modded '05 Golf GTI and enjoyed the challenge. Honestly, it's not even that hard, especially on the Nuremberg. Later on I picked up the '01 Golf and did the RM upgrade and went back took it with ease. Both cars are fun because you are outgunned in HP, but you are light and nimble.

I used the SLS, just because I'd bought one and had nothing to use it for. Such a great car for the money, I thought it would be just like a faster SL (complete with understeer so bad you'd be hard pushed to call it any kind of 'steer') but it just feels so incredibly pointy.
