If you can find one in the used car lot, the NSX LM Road Car sells for ~$140k...

Hmm I know I got 200+K for one of those damn prize cars....

I'm not accusing you of being full of crap, but I am going to accuse you of being mistaken. I know for an absolute certainty that it sure wasn't the Kubbelwagen as I've sold it and know without a doubt that it's definitely not 200,000 or anything remotely near that and almost certain it's 90,000. I also know I haven't seen any cars go for more than the 135,000 the F40 sells for and haven't seen any mention on any board of any car going for more than that.

Well..., that one post about the car going for 135,012... if it's accurate, but 12 credits isn't much of a difference. Not sure about that 140K car, either, since it's unlikely that I'm just going to stumble upon one.

The guy who set those sale prices and prize cars needs to be fired anyway. I remember reading his name in the credits of the grand finale movie, I couldnt believe someone was really responsible for that and did such a horrible job.

The whole balance of the car prizes/sale prizes is completely off, together with all those cars that would generate you more money but you cant sell for no reason at all (you can find them in the used car lot after all), its just catastrophic.

+897984651653468 you buy a car for 100k and then sell it for 30k. someone was smoking crack

Highest selling car in the game goes for 146k and is mentioned already.

The AC Cobra (why did PD create multiple versions of the same car? The only difference is the name...) that sells for 120,000

The F40 is a POS, its good to know that I can always sell it for a descent amount. I guess that car is good for something after all.

That wouldn't even pay for its own engine rebuild haha.

I thought I got 240,000CR for my Kubbelwagen that I got as a prize.

It is 73.000 and the FT86 can be sell for 90.000

As far as I've encoutered:

[selling price] = IF([buying price]<500.000;[buying price] * 0,3;"can't be sold")
e.g
F40: 135.000 = 450.000*0,3
Audi A8: 50.010 = 166.700*0,3

So according to www.mygranturismo.net the most expensive car under 500K ist the Nismo GT-LM Roadgoing Version '95 for 488.725 which should pay back 146.618 then. But I didn't had the chance to proove this by now.:)

Yesterday, I tried to sell my Honda NSX-R Prototype LM Road Car
146.700 credits !! 👍

The Lexus lfa goes for 115,000. And it's 75,000 cheaper

To everyone here, the f40 and the nsx (prototype not the regular one )are probably your best bet in terms of sellable price but if what you're trying to do is make money, save up about 500k, get a corvette z06, do the rm, and upgrade it to 650pp (increase downforce too) then go to seasonal event 4 and race Nurburgring. In under 7 minutes you will make $500,000 (and up to $1,000,000 if you've logged in for the last few days). In other words, in under 3 hours you can make the full $20,000,000.

I remember doing that, at the Costa di Amalfi track. Got about 275k in 10 mins. Was brilliant. There was this way or doing the DTM Championship, which took 30 mins and earned about 900k thanks to the Merc CLK LM thing that could be sold.

Back to GT5...I think it's ridiculous that most of the cars in my garage cannot be sold, something that I reckon needs changing. For example, I bought an Alfa Romeo Guilia carrozata blah blah for about 15m, not knowing that you could win one. I can't sell the one that I won which is completely redundant thanks to the other one, so I'm 15m out of pocket.
