Bascally what car would you most like to own. (critically this is not your faviourite but it is the one you most want to own.

Assuming you have other cars for commuting and other practicality reasons, maintenance is not a concern, etc etc?

Lamborghini Aventador Roadster, once they make one.

If I have to care about upkeep, Ford GT.

If money was no object
A Sil-80 or a American 240sx converted into a Sil80 and a Mercedes CLK 63 Black Edition. Or a Dodge Charger SRT8

This topic seems to resurrect itself every 6 months or so.

My answer this time around has changed. I'd get a fully loaded Infiniti FX50. Nice and luxurious to feel high class in while inexpensive enough to repair compared to anything European. Plus, I love the way they look, feel and drive. :)

Well, if money isn't an issue...

And if money is no issue, I'd just bribe Porsche into somehow making one available to me now :sly:

Lotus exige S 260. I'm a Lotus fanboy :crazy::dopey:👍

Or a '71 BMW 1600 and upgrade the crap out of it. :)

for enough millions you may be able to get the prototype theyve been driving around to various events.

Either the first Pagani Zonda or Porsche 356 Roadster.

My dad used to own a 356. :)
He knows a guy that restores them for a living.
So we go there every few summers and get to drive all sorts of Porsches. Older 911s, 356s, 912s.
You name it.

But me, does it have to be a road car?
If it could be a race car, I'd go for the red #23 Porsche 917K that won Le Mans in 1970.
If it had to be a road car, probably a Porsche 911 GT2 RS. :)

All of them.

Seriously. All of them. Every Single one, at least, one of every mass-produced model. And throw in a Patrick-Chassis Monster Truck for good measure.

That's why I Play Gran Turismo.

Nailed it.

Lexus LF-A. Not sure what it is, but I am in love with that thing, from how it looks to the geeky engineering stuff.

I'll take any of these - Bugatti Veyron, Saleen S7, Lexus LFA, Ford GT, Lamborghini (I don't care which, I like all of them), Ferrari 458 Italia, Ferrari Enzo, or anything that is fast and looks fast.

Basically my answer. But you know, in the spirit of the OPs question...I condensed.

I would probably be the most boring car collector as a millionaire. It'd just be a bunch of 20k family sedans and hatchbacks in my garage with maybe an Aston or supercar of some sort.

A close to mint AE86 Levin, a Sil-80, Impreza WRX STI(first gen), but i would buy out a maker and make it so its cars can even tailgate a ferrari.

Hmmm... I think there are more cars I want than money available but since this is fantasyland I'd want to own as a luxury cruiser either an old '76 Eldorado, or maybe an '00-'02 one. I like XLRs and SL500s too!

But like I say, waaaaaay too many cars to choose from - I could be here all night listing off cars I'd want to drive in a perfect world!:dunce:

< < < Also see avatar for more cars I'd want!:sly:

There's loads that I'd want to own.

Japanese: Honda NSX-R
Local modern: Walkinshaw E2 Supercar
Local classic: Ford Falcon XY GTHO Phase III
Supercar: Koenigsegg Agera, or for namesake Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce. Probably will change when I see an Aventador in the metal.
4-door saloon: Maserati Quattroporte GT S. With an exhaust note like that, who wouldn't?
Track day: KTM X-Bow Race

And for kicks,

Motorcycle: Ducati Desmosedici RR.

Choosing just one is difficult, simply because there are so many variables at play. It is far too easy to choose the supercar de jour.

So, I'll keep it classy: Ferrari 250 California.

most of mine would be modern new cars, actually.

but from the oldies pile?
70's Merc SL450
an original Stude Avanti R
A DeSoto Airflow (an antique that would SURVIVE an IIHS test!)
late 70's Camaro
