Well since it is a drag car I would say there is a lot of safety devices in the car.

How'd he hit a wall?
How do you *ONLY* have a broken arm after hitting a wall at 120mph?
Drag strip. Naturally, the car is pretty safe and we know Fred wouldn't drag it unless he knew it was very safe.

Fred had a 10-second car, so assumably he had to fit all sorts of safety devices in order to be running on the strip he crashed at. He told me that he thinks his helmet and his cage probably saved him from further damage. He says his axle snapped or possibly his transmission locked up and the car sent him almost head-on into a wall.

Fred has some poor luck.

Yeah he's lucky as hell to just have a broken arm after that.

Definitely - but he knows what's up, he said he knew the risks and that was one of them. If it happened to me, I'd be pretty upset at the loss of my car.

My mother owns a Volvo S80 T6, a V70 2.5TDI (for practical reasons) and an MG-F.

My car is a '92 Peugeot. :sly:
Oh, is that why you kept saying Peugeot 205 in my "Guess That Car" thread a while back? :)

hahaha, My parent's cars suck.

My moms = 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan
My Dads = 93 (or 92) Chevy Cheyenne Pick up truck :p

I want a Toyota 4-Runner.. but I may get a Ford Ranger

Not so much in a garage (don't have one) but littering the street.

1. '96 Nissan Primera (Dad's main 'family' car)
2. '95 Ford Fiesta (Brother's Car, nice subwoofer :D)
3. '94 Rover Metro (Mam's automatic, still only provisional licence)
4. '73 VW Camper 'Bay Window' (Dad's toy, slow, scruffy not likely to improve :( )
X. 72' VW Beetle (better condition than the camper until fuel lines burst, big flames. Towed away last week RIP)

?. My car (Still saving up cash)

1989 Ford Probe (gift to my kids from the Grandma)
1996 Ford Ranger Splash-My toy, bought for my commute and for general cuteness, and no my kids don't drive it much.
1997 Chevy Lumina (gift to my kids from the Grandma)
1999 Chevy/Geo Metro (given to my oldest son after the Grand father died)
1999 Toyota Camry- bought for my wife to commute to and from work. She shares better than me, and the kids will be using it till soccer/football season is over. Then they're back to the Probe exclusively.
2001 Chevy Venture Van- used to be the family trip vehicle. Now it's just too small, the wife is back to commuting in it.
2005 Ford Excursion-Current family trip vehicle, big enough for 8, and fairly economical for its size.

2000 BMW 328i - My dad's everyday car
1970 Triumph TR6 - My dad's other car, he rarely takes it out other than on nice summer days.
1997 Ford Taurus - Formerly my car, it's now been passed down to my younger brother
2004 Honda Pilot - My mom's car
1999 Honda Civic - My daily driver

My car and my dad's cars are all manual transmission while my brother and my mom drive automatics.

It looks slightly better since I polished and waxed it, and painted the front liscense plate holder.

Edit: I guess it's not in the garage, is it? The Miata is garaged, and the Astro has a space in the garage although we only use it if we are going away for more than a few days.

At the current time I'm driving the Laser () while my Escort gets a new gearbox.

Note: skids in a Ford is not a good idea, skids in an English Ford is just asking for it..
