The very first car i bought with the starting money was the Chrysler PT Cruiser...a nice black one....its the best car i could afford at the time and is one of the most powerful and fastest for the money...

just keep doing the races you can win over and over till you get enough to buy something decent....save up and get the Lotus Esprit 350...the rest of the game is a breeze from there....you win more money and get better cars...etc etc...

ive started woth a trueno and a mx5 before............i found that the trueno was fast however could feel heavy after a while............the mx5 on the other hand was light and with just a stage 1 turbo could snap the competition easily

my advice to you would be to spend less time worrying and fretting over which car to start with and just pick one...you'll soon be well beyond that stage with cool cars in your garge....

it makes no difference to the outcome of the game

im not worrying im just interested in starting the game again. although with a different car ive already used a mx5 and trueno.........any suggestions

Trueno for me first time through, second time i did the time attack mode and started with the Esperante (aka pile o' crap)

You really think the Esperante is that bad? I don't think it's a bad car. It might not look that good as a race car, but it's fast. The street version looks better, but I like the racing one too.
