For me, car collecting is by far the most fun thing to do in GT6, and I have a solid 45 cars in my collection right now. I've always been very curious about the cars other people collect, so if you could post the complete list of what you have below, that would be awesome.

Anyway, this is what I have so far

What do you think of my collection? What cars should I add?
-

After playing GT5 and collecting over 1,300 cars I have stopped trying to purchase all cars and just purchased a few, so far less then 100 cars I think. I have purchased the cars that I want to drive plus a few to do the seasonal events.

Funny now that I think about it, while I love the car variety that GT provides, I've never been a collector. I'll usually never have more than 20 at any one time - currently at 12 - and they're usually skewed towards whatever class of racing I'm doing whether it's stock, rally, GT3, LMP or whatever. Race it, snap a pic and sell it. No regrets.

I stopped collecting after the somewhat controversial Used Car Dealership disappeared. It's just not the same when you know everyone else can just buy it immediately too.

That said, there were some cars I went after first, despite needing other cars first for career mode. Cars like the Audi A4 DTM, Lister Storm, Lambo Diablo Nomad and a few others.

I like race cars. :)

I currently have exactly 200 cars in my garage (and 10 in the stockyard, anniversary cars), all of them cars that I would like to drive IRL. Classics, supercars and racecars.

I own all the $20 miliion dollar cars, most of le mans cars, muscle cars. The only thing i dont have/want are any of the 200 skylines in this game.

What is this used car dealer I keep seeing people mention (from GT 5)? Are you saying that GT 5 didn't have a dealership like we currently have, where you can go buy any car offered in the game if you have enough credits? Also, if you are buying "used" cars...do they tell you the mileage, wear/tear, etc??

I only collect the cars (60) I want to drive. My stockyard is full of prize cars, GT vision concepts, and oddballs (carts and mistakes I can't sell). It makes it so much easier to find a car to drive not having to sift through all the crap. I drive in cockpit mode so all standards are out. I know there are some great standards, but I enjoy the the combo of a rig with cockpit view. With the 20mil. glitch I'm not impressed at anybody's car collection.

In GT5 only the premium cars were in the new car dealership, everything else rotated into the used car dealership "randomly" over 5 days, 6 cars at a time. A spreadsheet was created by someone that has a big chunk of the rotation in it but I don't remember who, I think I found it in the GT5 forum. The mileage and paint vary but the wear and tear was not included.

On topic, I get the cars that I am interested in or am going to test for the FITT challenges. I have just over 100 cars at the moment.

I think that car collection is no longer the same as it was in GT5, that time it was fun and exciting. But now as the usedcar dealer is gone, and one can find all the car at newcardealer's. So now in GT6 the fun of collecting cars i gone...

I was just thinking this the other day as well. I haven't bought anything like the same number of cars compared to GT5.

The used car dealership meant that you could come across surprises and and forgotten cars. I used to buy everything older than 1990 for example. What's the alternative in GT6? Trawl through the dealerships left to right buying everything? No thanks.

For my main account, I am proud to have owned

-Corvette Stingray (maxed)
-Mercedes Benz SLS AMG (maxed)
-McLaren MP4-12C (maxed)
-Pagani Huayra '13
-Audi R18 (idk why but it's such a good drift car on ch tires)
-Chevrolet Camaro SS (maxed) (I bought this Car back at national B and I still use it on international A)

For my main account, cars I regret purchasing

-Audi R8 LMS Team Pheonix
-Pagani Le Mans car thing

Cars I like in my alt:

-Alfa Romeo TZ3 Strazdale

It's horribly bad handling.... Using RH tires and still drifting out on corners without holding the brakes or gas pedal.
Do you only drive it in it's stock setup, or have you tried tuning the suspension and LSD at all? I only ask because I know a LOT of people seem to like that particular car quite a bit...

EDIT: Maybe try this tune from Praiano. See if you like the handling any better. Or this tune from Jakedog23.

I did use it in stock setup but I sold it long ago...

I have 2 profiles, the first has over 180 cars & the other has 130. One I have maxed out a few times & have some nice hot rods. The other is almost maxed out, so it is time to buy some goodies for it.
The little Alfa racer for 10M is a great car. I may go for the old Ford MKIV this time, as both accounts are in the 40M+ range. I will grind tonight while listening to the world series & max out the one account. The other account will take 3 hours to max out, so that will take a few evenings to pull off.

985.
All fully tuned, all tyres, all body parts, everything.
All race cars.
All concepts.
All rally cars.
All base cars.
All £20mil cars.
All VGT.
All cars under 1980.
All nascars, don't know why.
All premiums.
All karts.
All redbull.
Also 25 AE cars & the odd few standards that are must have's.
I like a good collection, plus im covered if someone says lets race blah blah, I know ive got it.

What do you think of my collection? What cars should I add?
-
Add the Lotus Espirit, classic Mercedez, Audi LMS, '71 Ferrari, and the Mercedez GT3

I have 79 cars, mostly drift projects and random race/ seasonal tunes. I usually only buy premium cars, but most drift cars aren't, but I drift in hood or exterior view so it doesn't matter.

I have 605 cars.

all the LMP1, LMP2(even the Mazda Furai), LMGT1(TS020, CLK-LM, Mclaren F1, etc) DeltaWings and Group C in all of their paints and in real specs(even the R18 gearbox, the 88C-V Minolta 5 speed gearbox, stabilised DW 2012/2013, etc)

also many replicas cars such as road cars, tuned cars, trackday cars(Pagani Zonda Revolution), GT3 cars(on road cars), GTE cars(same), GT1 cars(FIA regulations), Hillclimb monster(BMW 134 Judd), drag cars(HKS R33), Group A cars, Super 1600 cars, Group B cars(audi Quattro. not the S1, Just before that one), other games replicas(NFS Underground 1/2, Most Wanted 2005, Carbon, Re-Volt, Fun Tracks/Ignition) all of them tuned within the limits of GT6

some cars tuned for online races and 3 of my personnal dream cars tuned exactly like i want :)

469 Cars.
  • Most of the Le-Mans cars besides the TS020 and R92C (already have the R92CP so figured what's the point)
  • Most of the Touring/GT3 cars (all of the Premium models, most of the simple cars, pretty much everything besides duplicates and simple/lower-PP cars)
  • Some of the Vision cars
  • Most of the EXOTIC/Super cars (a flexible class, but pretty much everything from V16T to Bugatti, but I don't have many of the vintage exotics)
  • Most of the Tuned cars (i.e. OPTION Stream Z)
  • Most of the "Luxury" cars (Jaguar, BMW, Mercedes, Audi, etc.) generally higher-end
  • Some of the mid-range (generally 400-550 starting PP cars) this is a huge class so I only got the very best and of course, detailed/premium models
  • Some of the "Troll" cars (generally under 400 PP, such as the Honda STEP van)
All of my 600+ PP cars are maxed out, and others that cap out at ~550-599 PP. Didn't bother with most of the luxury/trolll cars.
First post in a while. Busy grinding the seasonal events.
