Nice! The first day I come to this forum I find a topic close to my question. I've been playing GT3 for some time now using the DS2 controller. I'd like to move up to a wheel with force feedback. Is there a website I can go to that compares the models available? Or is there a general concensus that the Logitech one is best?

Thanks in advance. Sorry if this is an old topic, I am a newbie :cool:

Must confess when I bought mine it was the only one available for the PS2. I'm very happy with mine, it does do a lot for the game, but I think you'd be well advised to find somewhere you can try them out.

There have been a couple of reports of problems with the GT3 wheel, about which you've no doubt read in this thread.
 
I quite like my Logitech force feedback. Better than the PS 1 wheel I had before.

I haven't used this Logitech Momo Wheel yet but I think it would be excellant.
 
I myself have not used the logitech force feedback wheel but a friend of mine has one. He used mine the other day to compare and said that the thrustmaster seemed to be 'heavier and perhaps more force'. He liked it but it was not like he was going to take his back and buy the thrustmaster.

I know there are a couple of games that the thrustmaster does not reportedly work with (cant think of them now, one might be a nascar racer). But I believe that not all games are going to be compatiable with the logitech wheel either.

Logitech does however have a fairly strong affiliation with sony so you might be better going with a logitech wheel for compatablilty reasons..

Good point well made - must admit it did play a very large role in my decision to buy one...
 
Another thing I forgot to mention in favour of the thrustmaster is the simple fact that it has all the navigation buttons needed to move through the game menus. So you dont have to use the DS2 controller or have to turn the wheel and press the accelerator to do your menu navigation.

Small feature.. but a nice one... ;)
 
Thanks for the responses! I think I would like the "heavier" feel of the Thrustmaster. I'll try to find a place that will allow me to try both. Thanks again!
 
I use the Logitech GT3 Steering Wheel and once in a while the regular PS2 Controller.
 
I had to vote for telepathy. At least after youve raced for a while it seems like you can will your highly tuned racing machine to do what you want of it. Unless, of course, that "highly tuned" machine happens to be a Zonda.
 
I'm using DS11, but I want a steering wheel cos my hands are ****ed from repetitive strain foolishness. My left thumb, middle and index finger are all screwed from gripping the joypad for too much PS2. I've had to stop playing for a week!!!!!! My fingers still hurt!!!!!:mad:
 
I hate to tell you this, polyphony, but they will continue to hurt for some time. My hands took over a week to get to "comfortably numb" and even now I can very easily aggravate my condition. Take it easy, and they'll get better slowly but surely. :)

I've had it before, but never this bad - this sucks major @ss dude!!
