Family, relatives, holiday and my internet went out in a storm and was down for about 3 days. Played some Elden Ring and HFB over the weekend. Both games are really good. Everyone finally left and My internet is back up and running, so I got to sit back on GT7 and try out my new wheel which I haven't been able to use. I ran 1 Hour Spa and it rained HEAVY for 45 minutes strait. I was in Intermediate wet for most of it and got destroyed. Still not confident with the new Wheel. After that I ran American Cup 700 PP with a ZR1 09' Corvette that I really like. Started to build some confidence. I used to have a lot of trouble with this American Cup 700 PP, but this car is amazing and handles it easily. All in all, this game is really fun. Looking forward to playing more. Got a 1 Mil 4 star roulette ticket from the cafe book as well.

Greetings,

over the last evenings I swapped 12 VW Beetles with Porsche engines and gave them Racing Hards. Furthermore I painted them and tested the pack in different custom races with weak boosting. They’re fighting on the track an can spin out! Some of them gaining or losing positions.

I then joined them with an engine swapped Yaris and had a great race battle. Those beetles are quick…

For a Beetle Safety Car I repainted a VW GT3 Beetle.

Fun times. :)

Swapped Beetles vs swapped Minis next!

Completed the circuit experience for Catalunya as realized I never did the gold trophy for it. And I also did this, which makes it insane but very fun 🤣

Still figuring out the settings to handle it, did some mods too and racings softs, but having a laugh 😁

Tonight, I'm going to apply the finishing touches on my engine-swapped rides, currently most of them just got the engines and cosmetic upgrades, I think I'll paint them all in different shades of black to differentiate them to the other cars in my collection(kind of stupid we can't have custom "folders" of them since the game wants us to go and collect them all, but still).

And then I will put on some mileage on each of them in lobbies, I might wanna check out some highway pulls lobbies if I can find them.

Logged in to finish the update and check the UCD for updated cars to round out my collection for the engine swaps. Checked my garage to see what cars I won via the glitch, so many safety cars lol. Then glanced through the engines and parts collected. Going forward will probably log in to check the used lot for the dupes I need to get a new engine and maybe the odd lap or two while tuning them. After that, will probably sit back and watch for news on the next content update.

I was hoping to get dome time last night to do the glitch before the patch came in last night and when my wife fell asleep I got on I was able to do it about 10 times before wife started complaining about the seeing the bright light with her eyes closed 😞 . So I didn't get to run as long as I had planned. Oh well I kind of wish I had done the 4 star more for some crazy reason I thought I had to have the RX7 book complete before I could do the 4star glitch. I didn't see that anywhere it is what I told myself. It was fun for a couple of days. I got 3 or 4 cars and quite a few engines. Now I need to buy cars for the engines

How to have tons of fun. Take one '32 Roadster. Paint it bright green and add different wheels. Install a bunch of race parts and a big supercharger. Take it to Watkins and Laguna and put it up against a pile of Vipers, Mustangs and Vettes. Toss the TCS. See them cry as you claim victory while watching your skinny vintage slicks struggle to keep the power harnessed. Great sound. Good times.

I already paint all my cars bright green ;)

On the GTP account, I golded the Alsace, Deep Forest and Sainte-Croix CE's, leaving just Nordschliefe to get all golds/1sts on. The 3-star Wheel of Despair gave me the lowest-possible 5,000 Cr., but I had enough cash from the CEs to get the last 2 Porsche Carrera GT's I needed for tuning purposes.

That just leaves 3 Enzo Ferraris for tuning purposes and a few UCD/Hagerty's cars for engine purposes before I resume normal collection procedures on that account. Of course, they're the expensive 184 cars I need, as the total cost comes to just under 321 million Cr.

On the Plus account, I detuned the Mustang Gr.4 to enter the Deep Forest Human Comedy and set off on a no-stop strategy. For the first half hour, I used FM4, then turned it up to FM3, while turning mostly 1:38 laps. I briefly took the lead as Inostroza and his overpowered Taycan pitted for a second time, but he passed me back. Meanwhile, I couldn't shake Beauvois and his Megane Trophy, who was doing the same strategy. I took the lead for the second and final time when Inostroza pitted for a third time, which is when I went to FM2. The tires were falling off, but the fuel was still good, so I turned the wick up all the way with about 6 minutes to go. I managed to hang on for a 2.1-second win over Beauvois and 2.8 seconds up on a hard-charging Inostroza.

The game froze at the results page, but it still counted when I restarted. The 4-star Wheel of Despair gave the lowest-possible 10,000 Cr.

Today, we took a Swapped MR2 to Spa. Madness. I really need to learn how to fine tune. It's my own fault really, I knew it'd rain, and I'm **** in the wet.
De-tuned the Sauber Mercedes for Le Mans. Totally dry as a bone today on France. A few fluffy white clouds but that was it. Sunny all the way.
The 5 star workout ticket of dispondency provides a Weight reduction 5 for a Lambo Murcielago.... I'm not even sure I have 1 of those... Maybe it's punishment from PD for the engine glitch....
Did daily race A & B. 5th in both. Can't seem to get get to the podium. Maybe I'm choosing the wrong car, maybe I'm just crap, who knows, Answers on a postcard please.
Maybe I'm rushing into the race instead of waiting for the next one, you know, race starts in 3 minutes, rush into garage, choose a car, try to set a lap..
Something to think about..
Anyhoo
Off to the night shift.
Ttfn

Installed the update, checked out what new cars I'd won from the script overnight and spent a bit of time upgrading and customising some of them with tuning parts, body kits and liveries. Went for the obvious blue and white team Oreca livery for the Viper Gr.3 of course, though the red with white stipes one did tempt me. Some great liveries available for that car.

Decided to try out one of my new cars at Le Mans - Subaru Isle of Man WRX.

Something new on the HUD - DRS? I didn’t know this was a thing in GT7.

Car is a rocket ship down the straights with it deployed; problem is it drinks fuel like a rocket as well. 2 laps only even at FM6; 4 laps of a normal track. Took it to Austria - 2 stopping a 10 lap race, so fast it still won.

Won another Daily Race C with my GT-R GT500 '99. Sub 20 minute total time with pit stop. (will work out a fuel saving strat and see what my total time average is).

Try to get another ticket just to make sure (like everyone else did).

Realise that when I go on tomorrow I can collect 2 million credits for the escudo time trial.

Purchased the Amuse S2000 and did some minor tunes while trying to help someone else figure out if their severe braking issues are due to their tune or a bug. Ended up enjoying just tweaking the tune and driving that little rocket around The Glen.

Did the Sardagne WT800 race for the ~750k credits.

Finished off all the gone with the wind missions with full golds. Beat the drag race with a tune I found online for the GT-R.
Beat the final championship in the game with the GR Supra race car, as the AI who always came first was using it. Extremely good handling car with some small tweaks to the suspension and gear ratios. Default camber is always set too high

Today I finally drove the Pikes Peak Escudo for the first time around Alsace Village for this Time Trial Challenge.
So tomorrow I’m expecting to get my 2Mil. CREDITS.
After that I took the New Honda Civic to the Nordschleife. What a nice Production Car.
After that I set up a Custom Race against modern Supercars. Boy, what an awesome Experience this was to drive the Shelby GTR350 Bone Stock around the Nordschleife whilst competing against the AI.
The Driving is the Main Reason that keeps me enjoying GT7.
Outstanding.
Tomorrow I have 3 Days off do yeah, you probably can imagine what I’ll be doing 😅

After working all weekend at Watkins Glen to get to B level in Race C, it only took one day today for Nurburgring to drop me to a low C. I'll probably be D by tomorrow because I just cannot drive this track! Ah well, it's probably where I belong anyway because I was running against A+ drivers in Race C today and got lapped!!!!!

Hmm, gotta try this car. Where do you buy it? Ive been doing this race in my trusty z4 and sometimes win with the 1 stop strat. But im only a B driver and havent done a sub 20 yet.

Got on for a couple hours tonight. Finished the miles, started the CE at Fugi (that's gonna take some time) golded sector 1 easy but sector 2 is kicking my tail, ran Watkins Glen 800pp in my wonderful DBR9 FM1 for 2 laps then FM6 for 6. Pitted for fuel only and FM1 for the last 2. Ding Ding 1st place and 200k later!! Not sure how I didn't get a clean race. Didn't hit cars, no penalties, and didnt hit walls. Oh Well!! Just a fun time!!
