Ran various Gr.1s at Le Mans today getting ready for the big race next weekend, so excited! My favorite race of the whole year. I got an email from EVRO publishing that their next book is finally coming out this month. 🥳

Tried to do some more open lobby races to complete the daily marathon. First lobby I joined was GR4 around Laguna Seca, but it was mid-race so I waited for them to finish. The lobby was GR4 but track changed after every race, however after the first car crossed the line, the host quit and ended the lobby.

Second lobby I joined was another GR4 "Race for Fun" lobby, this time in pre-race practice. After doing a warm up lap around Tokyo, the host changed it to the full Nurburgring at night with full damage. I managed two practice laps before the host ended that session.

So I got no racing in after around 30 minutes. Decided to run the Trial Mountain cup again. Did race 1, got bored, turned the console off and went to watch a few episodes of Sakamoto Days instead.

I couldn't sleep this morning so I fired up GT7. I finally got the chance to race the swapped Escudo at LeMans. I enjoyed using the Escudo. It was great not to have the turbo lag. I did noticed that I never was able to get to 5th gear. So after the race I went into settings to mess around with the gears. It helped as I was able to get into 5th gear but it was a little slower than normal. I have to play around with the gears some more. After that I went to the garage to get my 4 ⭐ 🎟️ from the daily marathon. I saw I had 2 tickets waiting for and to my surprise I had a 1 million cr ticket for getting the manufacturer's race correct! That was a nice surprise

Me too, I‘m really looking forward to next Saturday!

Speaking of GT7, today I did a custom race around the Nordschleife and made a new livery:

After getting my !million ticket prize from the GTWS, I had to completee another trophy, so went and purchased the CROWN G Athelete Safety Car! Gave it a police livery Nagasaka style and boosted it tuned up to 650bhp Supercharged 230mph rocket! Very fun chasing boy racing criminals down on SSX Rotue X!!

bought another future historic car master piece in the goudini put a engine swap on it with some racing hards almost fully tuned to meet the 580pp.
Back in the day, I had a hard time reconciling the good behavior of the R8 Gordini with the scary behavior of my R10. That thing was focused on murdering me if I pushed it.

As part of the Le Mans Festivities, I've tried to beat some laps in various cars. Here's how that is going so far:

LMGT3: Did it on my second lap in the Lexus (Video here). Was expecting at best likely get the Test Day time by a tenth, but a whole second is good too.

Hypercar: Unsuccessful, Despite the Toyota GR010 being lighter AND more powerful in game. 4 seconds off last year's pole.

LMP1: Decided to take my mind off that frustrating attempt by trying to beat my own time I beat the Pole time from the 2010 race with here. Sadly, that was also Unsuccessful as I was 2 seconds off that.

Seems like the Prototype physics, at least in my hands, are somehow off.

Just booted it up to do the daily La Sarthe grind while working my way back up to 20mill, as I'm working on the 3 legendary cars trophy.

Hey y'all,

Leading up to the GTWS Manus cup finals in London, I hopped onto Sport mode this morning and had an awesome battle race in an invited friends lobby race on GT7 today. It was a replica of the Tokyo expressway Daily race B and on Race 4 after the third race glitched out on me. The battling was Fast and furious and really intense with side by side racing on some of Tokyo's fastest corners!

I ended up clinching 1st place and battled hard to do so, with an A+ driver called SIM GT7 chasing my LEXUS buttocks all the way. It was a really fun race and love to share some good racing and our race battle.

Potentially battered my Dualsense controller on my PS5 though on this race lol!
Enjoy the Clip!

Well done on your victory, @ZEE. Great to see people making progress anywhere in gt7. Makes my day.

They said the 449sp has a "retro style" livery so I made it a touch more retro and applied it to the 512BB. You can see my work on the retro GR3 (700pp) Sophy race in the custom race thread.

I'll keep saying it, the Boost Weak setting with Sophy is the best thing they've ever added to GT (EVER EVER). Some of these cars had been sitting unused for three years. What I could have done with cars that I've sold for being of high value and no use :banghead:

Made the fascinating discovery that the Polyphony people chose to animate the front radiator fan in the Jag D-Type.

I bet nobody would normally notice this. It was only because I was peering at wheels, lights etc from close up in VR that it dawned on me. I mean it was almost invisible in the shadows!

If you want to see a range of D-Type detail photos (of instruments etc) and a video of the fan rotating, CLICK HERE to visit my photo gallery

Or to just see the fan video, here it is

You also see a similar thing with one of the Ferraris (I think it was the 512 BB?), something I first discovered in GT Sport.

I've been testing out unorthodox rally vehicles (AWD be damned...lol). These two were actually quite good. I didn't expect much from either, but I was pleasantly surprised with both. So, for your viewing pleasure, I give you "The Dirty Duo":

More to come.
