What did you do in GT7 today?

I had some fun testing out a stock Lancia HF Delta Integrale Rally Car at Sardegna Windmills - Reverse. Great on the dirt. Squirrelly as all get out on tarmac. Very tail happy. So, I'll have to sit down and fiddle for a while before I come up with anything approaching "stable" for a track tune, but we'll get there.

The Renault A220 is one of my favourite cars in the game. It's small, light, nimble, and with a LOVELY engine note, especially after adding a big turbo. Definitely a go to for the WTC700 Le Mans race.

Quickraces on the Nordschleife in the rain, one make, Tesla Model 3s

All I heard pretty much was the torrential rain with some tire noise. It was a great 3D sound experience

Then tried it on the High Speed Ring so as to hear the transitions entering and exiting the tunnel. 👍

The Citroen DS Pallas '70.... Its suspension... It's heavenly good. Nice ride.

I can only imagine what would be like to drive this car in VR and with a wheel.

The car is in 100% stock form and wouldn't change a thing.

Back in the 60's, a very good friend picked up a DS 19, and THAT was an incredible car. The suspension was like velvet and combined with one of the longest wheelbases of its era, with inches of foam rubber under the carpet, it was divine luxury.

It won no prizes for drag racing, but once it got to cruising speed, it would quietly gulp down the miles.

Gallic engineering at its best.

Put that M3 GT4 build through its paces after making a setup for it. Other then needing abit more turn in and some dialing out of the oversteer, its pretty darn quick. Not bad for a setup I derived from a 2011 GT2 car (Wasn't sure it was gonna work honestly).

Today I.....

Gave the Aston martin Valkyrie another try I didn't like it much when it was first added but now its super fun to drive and the hybrid system being manual is great.

The Valkyrie will see alot of miles from me.:)

The weekly at Suzuka. Chose the Mazda.

Rain started early and at lap 6.5, I was regretting failing to pit stop for tires as the rain had made the track an ice rink.

Got lucky as the sun reappeared and steadily dried the tarmac. Even with my limited skills, won by over a minute. 😮‍💨

The race was a nice challenge, the sound of the rain was gorgeous in VR.

Finished the day by setting a better than +10% time on Highway 1. All my friends list are aliens (compared with me).

Just did the WTC 900 race using the 2016 Honda NSX GT500 but with three key objectives in mind:

  • Fuel save until lap 8 (My usual best is lap 6)
  • Use soft tires for those final two laps (To charge back by cars that may go back by during pit stops)
  • Do all this, including winning it, on the highest difficulty.

Not the easiest task with how quickly the fuel can drain if you don't pay attention combined with some the AI's horrific behavior being really bought out in Suzuka. That said, I have managed it after four attempts and it was a blast. Seems like unfortunately its more a matter of the draw then anything because unlike the first three attempts where Kawakami was way out in front and Inostroza's AI was part of a 3 car road block (Either break checking me or just sending me right off the track), I was this time about to get by them separately and it was instead Jehoul at the front of the field.

Edit: The Honda NSX GT500 is an absolute joy. Despite now having my GR2 work horse from GT Sport finally (The Lexus RC F GT500), its giving it some competition in being an enjoyable drive.

I bought a 3rd Lancia and found a nice livery for it and then changed the color to plum crazy

The creator of the livery did a really good job creating the livery. I hate I can't remember who created it so I give them credit.
Then I took it to LeMans. It had the mud flaps down which bothered me to no end so I quit changed the mud flaps back and went back to the race. Got almost 5 laps at FM6 (actually it was 4.8 laps) so On the 5th lap I got into the pits on fumes :)
The rain came on lap 2 but I was determined not pit if I didn't have to. So I changed the power split to 50:50 and increased the traction control to 5 until the weather changed. That happened around lap 5 when I needed to pit. After that I switched to FM3 to finish the race. Got 5k cr from a 3 star ticket.
