We did a nice recreation fo Daily Race B in todays Sunday lobby friend race!!! Managed to score 5th place, could have been 4th but was hit by a 0.5secs penalty on last lap and lost place. Overall mega fun racing and a good session. WRX FTW!!

Made Iron Lynx‘ & Iron Dames‘ 2024 IMSA cars over the course of the weekend:

Same thing each day. Porsche 962 in VR in the ten lap race around Le Mans. In 2D my fastest lap is 3.41 in VR 3.37.

I turn the displayed info completely off and go with feel if the weather means tyre change. As for the necessary pitstop, a big amber light comes on in the cockpit to tell me when to pit.

I'm planning on a four hour race against Sophy in the near future.

I had a blast with this weeks challenges. This one in particular was surprisingly entertaining. 449pp Sprinter Trueno, (w/ USDM Corolla GT-S livery), 200hp, 1500 lbs (give or take) on stock tires (comfort medium).

I decided to have fun with this one, so there is some "light" drifting (and an oopsie). I didn't take it too seriously, and still managed to eak out a win in the last corner. This car always brings me joy.

Next I hit up the Kei Car Challenge at the Nürburgring Nordschleife with my trusty Suzuki Carry (no widebody), which is another vehicle that always puts a smile on my face. This little truck handles BEAUTIFULLY. No matter if it understeers or oversteers, it's easily controlled. An absolute joy to drive. My little Carry has 400pp on comfort soft tires (133 HP). I'll likely run this combo more often.

Great day of racing overall.

Redid the Kei car weekly race at the 'Ring, just so much fun! And 150,000 credits for one lap of fun is not all bad.

Also finished off the weekly, with the Infamous Wheel™ generously awarding a One-77 for my trouble.

With a new car, I'm always keen to check out the cockpit...

And slap some plates on it to make it legal...

Tomorrow, I'll try it out 😀

Two discoveries of the day...

This Ferrari's badge in the steering wheel is recessed...

And this Porsche has a hole in its roof you can peep through...

EDIT: These cars are on my wish list

Today GT7 reminded me that the Pits at Bathurst have grown over the years.

Back in about 1961, I somehow found myself in the pits, at the end nearest Hell Corner (Turn 1), chatting with a couple of the drivers during the 500 mile race. I guess it looked something like this (detailed memory has faded!) ...

Just for comparison, GT7 has it looking like this today. The tents have been replaced with actual, you know, "buildings"...

Back then, the beginning of Pit Straight looked like this...

For more views of Bathurst action in 1963, here's the YouTube link. It includes a classic battle between a Morris 850 ("Mini") and a VW 1200. The Mini had the advantage in corners, the VW had a slight edge down Conrod (this was back when Conrod Straight was actually "straight", without The Chase)

After the (awesome) Alpine A220 '68, this weekend I stuck around with the brand in a much newer car. The A110 '17.

This French sport car is sooo underrated if you ask me. It is one more of those cars in GT7 that are very good out of the box in stock settings.

My car has weight reduction 1, a little bit of ballast over the front axle, custom suspension, aero parts from GT Auto and the sport upgrade kit (filter, computer, muffler and brakes). Along the weekend I had a 7:29 before I added the ballast however I rode curbs left and right and it was a dirty lap in my opinion.

Edit: the onboard lap:

Watching the Pebble Beach Concours live (now) to see what car will win the GranTurismo Trophy, hoping it will be the 1966 Bugatti 101C
