What did you do in GT7 today?

So I had that RedBull **** not done in a while. Finally did it.

Sardegna and Dragon tail seemed fine. But Interlagos seems quite hard at first but after bit of persistence and retries I did it, it look much less than I thought fortunately cause I need to go back on driving my usual favorite cars.

Made a new livery: Risi Competizione‘s Ferrari 488 GTE from the 2020 Daytona 24h.

Since I doubt we‘ll ever get the actual 488 from PD I tried to get the 458 as close to the car as the game allows.

I collected my six-star engine ticket for the Extra Menu featuring the early Japanese sports cars, and got a Ferrari 458 engine. I believe this is my second one, too, since I already seem to have a swapped Alfa Romeo 4C, so maybe it'll eventually become compatible with another car? I could see the 8C Competizione getting it, in particular.

So, I'm joining the part of the forum devoted to GT, because today I purchased a PS5 digital, and it comes with GT7, and that was one of the main reasons, so yeah, console seller game. But first I will install and play My First Gran Turismo (Disclaimer: Not my first GT, my last was 6).

Edit: So, I finished MFGT in about two-hours' time and got the 18 bonus cars. I fired up GT7 and went through the mandatory (?) music rally race, the intro movie (classy, and I fully expected that), and purchased the Demio as my first car, because I owned a version of it, a 2016 Toyota Yaris R (or Mazda 2 sedan).

Today I took a shot at mastering the Nürbergring, now that I'm aware my driving difficulties were caused by driving with the perspective of the driver seat, instead of the bumper camera.

Now that I've changed it to bumper cam, I can drive much better.

And I've golded them all! First I went through the sections not yet trying to gold them. But at least silver. Managed to gold a couple of them. Then went straight to the full lap. Which I golded after some time.

But I didn't get the 5 million bonus yet, because there were still sections with only silver. So I golded them individually next. Which I think is a much better way of going through them instead of doing the parts all one by one and then lastly the full lap.

Because the build up to a full lap becomes so critical then.

So now that I've pulled that off, I can safely say I can drive across the Nürburgring again. With enough tries, at least.

Because I still need quite a few attempts, to be honest. Doesn't matter what car it is. Well maybe somewhat. But I can't drive every car around there.

I would like to get better.

I'm up to Cafe Menu 7, unlocking things as I go. I've settled into playing in resolution mode@120 Hz and it looks really good on my bedroom's Sony 4K TV (coincidence?). I set up the 3D audio with my regular headphones, and the sound is outstanding.

I toned down the triggers because the haptics felt too stiff for my taste (new car stiff), and my Forza Horizon/Motorsports habits have translated very well. I've also done some of the Sophy races at medium difficulty and completed the daily "Marathon".
