Returned to Daily A last night and decided to throw down a qualifying lap. Normally I don't do this as starting mid-pack on lap 1 isn't fun.

Set a mid 1:07, good for top 5,000 globally. Higher than expected.

Get in to the lobby and see that time puts me 2nd. Totally surprised, but then I notice yesterday's shenanigans took me from low-B to high-C. Now it makes sense. Also means that lap 1 turn 1 is going to be the death of me.

And that's not how things played out! 1st place (Canadian with the nickname 'Jeremy Clarkson') had a slow start, giving me 1st. Survived turn 1 but commotion gave Jeremy and I breathing room. Maintained 1st until lap 3 where I went wide on the first hairpin, seeing Jeremy cutting into the apex and having more speed, I stayed out wide and surrendered 1st. Lap 5 and I got nudged out wide on a corner by an Argentine, down to 4th. Final lap, still in 4th but 2nd and 3rd had been trading paint, and sure enough 3rd straight up does a murder on the Argentine, resulting in a 3rd place for me.

Recreated Turner Motorsport’s BMW M6 GT3 from the 2021 IMSA season.

I found out the origin of the Toyota 86 GT, it started as a SCION FR-S 2013.
It did not. The Scion was a rebadged Toyota 86GT/Subaru BRZ exclusive to the US market.

It originated as a Toyota concept car called the FT-86 (which you could drive in GT5 and GT6) in 2009 - there was a previous concept called the FT-HS but it wasn't really quite the same thing - before becoming the production-spec car in 2011 (going on sale in early 2012) at various times called GT-86/GT86, 86 GT, and just 86, along with the Subaru BRZ. In fact it was sold as the 86 in Japan, GT86 in Europe, and FT86 in some emerging markets, as well as the Scion FR-S in the USA.

Subaru actually builds them too.

I knew I should have in invested in rain tyres for the 30 minute PP700 race...

A few seconds after this photo was taken, too much pressure with the right foot resulted in an 1,170 degree rotation in slow motion.

Yeah I can remember the 1st time I did that race I didn't realize it would rain there. It didn't happen until lap 4 I was okay until I got around the Porsche curve. It was horrible . After that I always made sure I had some type rain tire with whatever car i would use. All that said that is a really good pic. If I didn't know any better I would think it an actual race pic!

On my first attempt, it barely rained, and any water buildup was very manageable on RH tyres. So I assumed the game was simply messing with me. Nope. Each time I take on this event, the weather is worse, with TORRENTIAL rain in the most recent.

Climate change I guess 😂

Inspired by @GBO Possum I took out my Daytona Coupe and went to LeMans got the monsoon around lap 2 but I was able to put TC to 5 and keep on the track until I could change tires. Got 10k cr from a 4 ⭐ 🎫
