What did you do in GT7 today?

Today was my first Power Pack day.

I really like the "atmosphere". And the Sophy drivers put me in my place, quite deservedly. Qualified in 6th, finished in 6th, with a Clean Race Bonus. It felt good to be driving with realistic caution.

Clearly, this is not a get-rich-quick opportunity, however I found the experience to be enjoyable. I feel like I'm in something for the long haul, and that's great.

EDIT: It's singularly appropriate for long-term players who are no longer chasing money and are happy with an immersive experience

Custom race at CGV for 12 laps for prize of 400,000cr. This made me daily workout. I got 5 star ticket and dumb carbon brakes for some Toyota I do not own. Then I uploaded some of decals I was working on.

Coca-Cola, NASCAR, FIAT, Abarth scorpion, Dunlop, Vodafone, and Nuka Cola (from fallout). Search VDecals on showcase to find them and other stuff I made before. :)

I Did about 170 miles total in VR2 today, with different events and races:

1) I was enjoying the E30M3 in stock form, doing the Euro FR 550 Challenge for half a day, underpower, light but so Balanced !

and
2) I Testing the Logitech G923 over my current G29

I hate the trueforce, so I am going to return it.

3) i Was considering starting the PP, and confirmed that I would start first with the GTi branch,

but then I stopped short, because it i realized it would take more time than I could dedicate, so Will do it another day when I could properly enjoy it...

Right now I am focusing on comparing the wheels by doing the following
4) i drove the Espace in an easy fun race.

5) drove Japanese FR 450 Challenge to complete it in first position

6) I was looking for some livery for the Espace, I didn't have high expectations at all, I knew there would be a whole bunch of shenanigans, but I was quite impressed with the community's liveries for the Espace F1... So much are available already, and they were quite good

7) I also tried to improve my OTT with the Citroen GT, unfortunately I am still in Bronze, but now a second closer to silver ;( will try again tomorrow before it is up.

8) finally I needed to try out the new Ferrari GT3, and found the issues all of you are talking about.

The Ruf is very fast, but has a fuel range in that event of maybe 1½ laps. It became obvious that I could lose a lot of time by extreme fuel management or lose a lot of time by pitting every lap. 👎 Great car apart from the range limit.
What Fuel mix did you use? I tried it last night I was able to get 3 laps at FM6. I use a manual and I do a lot f short shifting. The car is a great car so smooth and quick. After LeMans I did the GTR race at CGV. I wanted to get myself used to that track. You can tell it is an older track with how small it is, great track non the less. I especially love the back straight into the finish line.

Bought an Amuse S2000 and then sa Hot version video with Tsuicya San and made it into this version of J's S2000!! Such a cool car when you hot lap time trial it around Tsuukuba. Shame we dont have the gen 2 S2000 yet???

Thanks for the guidance!

Addenda to my daily activity, I did the time trial with the Polestar (rental), and I did enough for a bronze time... I could go for silver even, if I had more patience, but I know 2-story houses that are lighter than this piggy. Thanks for the test drive too, I won't be buying. Now if I could get rid of the Afeela too...

My honest to God reaction after finally playing GT7 on my new PSVR2:

I honestly feel like I finally got into the 21st century after living my whole life like a hermit playing games on a black and white old tv set 😳😂 that’s how I can best describe the impact of just doing three laps in the Mines GTR at my go to test track DragonTrail Seaside. I had no idea of the track’s very surprising elevation changes which made me react waaayyyyy differently as before (and I have a 55” 4K tv at 8 feet from me).

Plus the amazing, surreal and very highly detailed interior! The rear view mirror even has the Mines logo etched in it!!

Now I fully understand. Now I fully appreciate what Kaz said as VR was always the main focus for GT7. Now everything makes sense.

Yes it was an impulse buy. And the best impulse buy I’ve ever done in my life!

I am still having goosebumps!!!!

I did the 1 hour race at Spa yesterday with the Espace F1. Turns out that it doesn't have functioning headlights 🤯 So after wasting 20 minutes, I restarted the race with the racing line and brake indicator on. Just when night fell, it started to rain. Went in for intermediates and when I got out of the pit: Total darkness, no racing line, no headlights, no circuit lights,... Got a 3 second penalty for crossing the lines. As it got dryer I went back in for mediums, this time I got a 6 second penalty. After serving this penalty I spun out on a wet spot, got lost and stuck against a wall. Back on track, I was 40 seconds behind Fraga on soft tires. I eventually won with 2 seconds on worn tires and no fuel because I only did a splash and dash in the second to last lap. Never had so much trouble to win this race. Used my prize money to fit the Espace engine in my Megane trophy. I think tonights Spa race will be a lot less nervewracking.

VXR
I won a B58 on a 4-star roulette ticket and I noticed it could be placed in the E30 Sport Evo. It's now a black widebody example on BBS and with gold trim, in a JPS style.
I need a few of these B58 engines...
I didn't know they were in the game .. or at least I didn't think about looking for them. Thanks for the idea, I will do the same...

Another converted .. looks like you had a great experience.
Let them people know that no one forced you to speak those words and that you had total free will while you put , what many thinks to be : the overbearing headset.
I personally think of the PSVR2 headset as me putting on the safety helmet before each race....

Total immersion.

Multiple screens is now passe.

GT7 is meant for VR2 and GT is truly better experienced in VR, just the natural progression of game enjoyment.

Again welcome to the club, glad you are loving it... We don't lie, we truly want more people to experience it the game the right way.

Do you have a wheel ?
Don't you feel you just got a brand new game, almost like You just found a hack ?! Lol

Again these here are only words, words that makes absolutely no sense to people who do not have VR and or who refused to experience, or who have sadly wrongly experienced it the wrong way.

It sounds strange to say, but without an open mind, as you put on a tethered headset that seems to many that it restricts your movement or worse yet, the feeling of mind control,
But without an open mind and these negative apprehensive misconceptions, you will not be able to enjoy VR2.

I understand it is a lot of ask.... But am glad that one, one at a time, we are slowly gaining traction
@snowman_pr I am looking forward to many more of your reactions... You are only scratching the surface of your newfound discovery... Please share them in the PSVR2 thread !! I am so jealous of what you are going through, the feeling of newness of VR.

Although I am used to it now after over 2 years of use, but I still fully very appreciative of having the VR2 experience, it's still a game changer, especially with the wheel and pedals.

Despite having 2 Sony 4K 75 inch and a 65 inch TVs with all the bells And whistles, I no longer race on 2D tv. Yeah I do take a hit in the graphics department, but I so much prefer to race in the immersive VR2 world.

I still use the TV for the photo mode, which I love!
GT should and must continue to exist in 2D, but it absolutely needs to allow VR races ... I don't want the 2D more to die entirely, that's how I started And on rare occasion will play in 2d.

Cheers
Spread the word brother!
The non-believers will not like it, find it annoying that we are always preaching and evangelizing them about the next coming of VR3 lol

But it's their loss...

Edit
Happy Birthday day @CommanderBond
