Found a VW W12 Nardo in the ICD lastnight and nabbed it. $1.7mil. I probably wont use it but I picked it up just because it was the 1st time I saw it and figured it might be somewhat rare.
I hadn't seen one Nardo since i first got GT5, until last night! Today, i've seen 3 more. I've spent the last 2 hours license test/cycling the UCD to try and find an XJ220 Race Car - with no luck what so ever.
Did buy the Toyota GT-One today though
I bought the Toyota GT-ONE last night mainly because I remember it from an earlier Gran Turismo. WOW! After a little tuning I was running sub 39 sec. laps at Indy and actually got the 250 mph trophy because I was able to draft as I lapped the field! Holy Snikeys that car is FAST!
I like it because the combo of weight and power makes it useful in online racing. It can be tuned to drive a lot easier than all the other Vipers that I find squirelly as well.
When i saw someone driving one at Sarthe at night and seem them, i busted out laughing. Ohhh what Fast and the Furious did for tuning in the early 2000's.
I came across the Mitsubishi FTO Super Touring Car last night. I took it online and could happily keep up with 600hp race cars around the Nordschleife due to the grip I can get out of the corners. Once I've played with the suspension settings a bit I reckon it'll be unbeatable in that sort of power category (DTM, Super GT) as I can just get so much more corner speed compared to my Super GT Supra.
BMW V12 LMR. Purchased instantly. This thing is a beast, I've already cleaned up the Like The Wind races with it. Gonna give it a run in the Dream Car championship later on and see how it fares.
Today I passed up a red R8 LMS (waiting for team playstation one).
I did find NSX LM roadcar version and Skyline GTR LM roadcar version!!! very happy.
Skyline ended up with 550hp fully modded and is unpaintable, great balance for drifting was having fun online.
