This is a tricky subject for me, I've already seen some games recently that completely messed up gameplay, and got it all focussed on graphics, for example CoD2 is by far not as good as CoD1.

For me, I hope to see that the PS3 game developers dont go that way, I hope to see the main attention going to well thought out games, and not beautifull games.

Gameplay comes first for me and graphics and sound next. I hope the future PS3 games will use the PS3 power for that, and not only friggin visuals:yuck:.

What do you think?

I'd like to see immersion being the key, ofcourse graphics will inmprove and better graphics is a plus. But not for the sake of other things, it's a given the PS3 games will all look better than any PS2 games, so were automatically in the plus on that side of things. What I'd like to see is more interaction with the world around you, making the game world more real.

Developers shouldn't be stressed about the release date of games either, they need to take time to add nice details to the game. To polish it before you sell it, honestly I keep noticing this is what makes games fun and not for me.

Dont let the times come where I will have to judge a game before I buy it by the stress of the release date:(

I can go with that , the simple answers can sometimes be the best 👍.

I'm serious man, haha, I recently dusted off my 'Cube and tossed in some of my old party games (Super Smash Bro's, Mario Kart, Mario Tennis, and recently purchased Mario Strikers) and I've been having a blast with my friends...and I just can't remember the last time I had that same experience out of a PS2 game that wasn't online.

Don't get me wrong, I love online play, but man sometimes it's just so much more enjoyable with 4 people in the room. SO I can only hope that PS3 will offer up some great experiences like that, lol.

Fun = name of the game.

Now thats mainly the reason why I made this thread. I heard someone talk about the nintendo yesterday and he had a point. Those games are just priceless, just pure gaming without any worries of not making it to the next level. To add something else, the recent graphics trend of game developers ruin the whole experience of a game.

Tell me what would Mario kart be if the graphics would be optimised?
And....realistic:crazy:
The developers should loosen up a bit and come with a bigger viarity of games. All the gaming world is whining about now is FPS, FPS, and FPS.
Try to stay creative, and dont loose the attention to detail, to make a game balanced and fun.

The nintendo games are really balanced for that matter...nothing can really annoy you when playing mario kart, right?

A fun game is the best. Graphics always help, but they don't make a game great. Example, Ridge Racer for the PSP. The graphics are beautiful, especially for a handheld game, but I got bored after an hour. With Star Wars KoTOR, it's graphics aren't as good as other games, but I already invested 90 hours in it, with another 30 on the way.

I hope the new capacity of the PS3 will allow some other genres of games to expand instead of just FPS and 3rd person games like MGS.

But I'm not saying they are doing a bad job on all the coming games, I saw a small clip of a video in where you used some eyetoy thing and you could actually talk to the persons that were ingame while you were shown through the eyetoy cam. That seemed a very very interesting concept:tup:

I really do hope this next gen stuff brings in new idea's, and alot of them:p
