I myself am a senior mechanical engineer for a firm here in brisbane. other companies 'hire' me out and i design **** for them.

say a new shopping centre is built, someone might ask me to design the air-conditioning set up. so id have to select which airconditioners to use and design all the ducts through the roof to comply with some bull**** regulation some moron made up.

sometimes its fun, others its boring. im going over to india on the 13th of may to supervise other engineers who are designing a 34 story highrise. should be fun.

most of you who reply will no doubt be students of sorts i guess.
 
Senior Credit Analyst - I love my job, in the same way that a cancer patient loves chemotherapy. It enables me to live in the short term, but it's probably doing me long term harm.

Stupid customers, stupid dealers, stupid credit committee - I spent 3 years on a degree (plus the time I'm spending on my Grad Dip) to put up wtih this nonsense.

I'm a bit down on things at the moment, in case you hadn't noticed.

Well, not any more. I was a kind of analyst with one of those HUGE services firms. But then everyone got greedy, and we won't go there.

vat: I can relate somewhat. At this point, I'm kind of upset that I worked for 10-12 hours a day and most weekends for this place (salaried). Now I'm looking for a new direction. Not sure what, yet, though.

Maybe Williams or even BAR need a new test driver? I can tell them how many hours I've logged into racing games and that I can double clutch and heel/toe in real cars. Maybe that'll impress 'em. Yeah, yeah, that's it. I'm well grounded in reality.

i can also relate to you vat man, in my last job with a consultency firm i was one of many senior mecho's and i always got looked over for decent jobs. really pissed me off. so i told them to stick it and now i work for a better company, better money and im goin to india.

**** sorts itself out in the end...sometimes. all i can say is keep thinkin that you go home at 5. thats what got me through 8 months of bull****.

Me, I work for the state of Massachusetts. I help in managing the fixed assets for a state run University.
 
Registered Nurse:
I'm charge nurse of a Physical rehabilitation unit in Overland Park, Kansas. We help people get back on their feet after MVA's (motor vehicle accidents), Strokes, Hip and Knee replacements, etc.
Love what I do most days, I will occasionally feel the need for time on a first person shooter after the bad days.
Usually though, just trying to help a few folks along the path.
 
well, I do nothing, well go to school and feel like crap, ride my bike and feel good, play GT and feel smart...

I'm currently and constently becoming a Mazda tech, not reading books, just watching my dad work. I'm not certified, but I'll get the job done...
 
Last year of high school, cant wait to get out, weeee. Get home, on computer all the time. Make tracks for Nascar Heat mods, run a counter-strike clan, play sof2 demo, starcraft and other games. Goto CS lan tournaments with about 30 people every suinday, and an overnight lan party once a month. My lifes pretty boring, but o well, i like it:)
 
I'm trying to make my way through the racing ladder, I'm currently at step 1 (karting). But as soon as I get 16 I may drive an ISSC (Intern. Single Seater Car). That's if anybody wants me... :( :lol:

Otherwise I'll go to college and (try to) start my own business, my older 19 year old brother works for my dad in the summer (fork-lift driving) but Í'm not allowed to work for him, ...something to do with "there actually has to be work done". Yeah, whatever dad. I'll just hang out at the track all summer then...
 
Currently, I'm a full time Computer Engineering Major at the Universtiy of Arkansas. As of Friday afternoon, I'll be a Senior with 33 hours until graduation.

I don't actually have a real job as I'm on scholarship. I've been living off the state for the past three years. It's been kinda nice. I don't ever pay rent and meals are free. (At the cafeteria at least.) I don't know what I'm going to do when I have to take care of all this on my own.

I am a student. I wake up and go to school. Get yelled at. Come back home. Stare at my messed up PS2. Sleep. Go to bed. Wake up the next morning and repeat. My life sucks. Rarely do I find time for GTP anymore. Suprising how that happens with my boring life.

...just to add: i hate all the people who are like OMG! i just flunked my test (they get a C and die), and all those ppl who arfriad of b-'s and below. I have a 52.8% in science (flunking), a D in L.A. (English), B+ Math (the only thing i can actually do good in), and a C- in Social Studies. I know the real bad grades...so all you pussies out there shut up!

yea I hate them too...I'm failing Agebra, too late for them to put it back into my next year scedual...I'll never repeat it if I can help it...

ohh and I hate the people who think that someone with low grades is stupid. No they're not, you could be Einstein but do no homework and you flunk, but people think that an F means youre a retard....
 
I personally like math, but thats just me. You dont really need to know much. If you know how do to one problem you got them all ;)

I really hate Social Studies. The only reason I'm doing so good is i got placed a level lower after getting a 37 out of 100 on my 1st simester finals in reg. History Class:thumbsup:
 
Well, I'm good at math, just Algebra is useless to me, I'll never use it in my life, but my teacher says that I will. Auto mechanics don't use Algebra...

Thats exatcly what i wanna be, except i know i wont. But as soon as i get my car i'm gonna street race and build up my bucks!
