I thought it was addiction, but it seems to be wearing off lately - I think the game is on the tipping point for me at the moment.

Its a standing joke now - "Dad's on GT5 AGAIN!"

Its something more for sure but it hasn't hit the heady heights of GT3.

3.I am a racer who has no time or money for actual track time now that I'm married and run a business... This is my track day!
4. Married for 10 yrs..I have a 3yr old and another on the way.. My wife used to play GT3 and 4 with me and she thinks this one is definitely better although she knows not having COMPLEX STRING is an atrocity .. and since I've owned 15 Japanese sports cars as well as been to racing school and I was involved in a car club... she knows that it's my thing and I love her for understanding... My daughter likes cars (daddy's DNA) but she will tell me to put the remote(controller) down to play hide and seek and will pull me until I surrender
5. GT has always been more than just a game... Need for Speed is just a game..Gran Turismo is a lifestyle for me

I didn't bring my ps3 with me to college, but during breaks (like this week) I'd say 20+ hours. I used to net around 15-20 hours a week in my senior year in high school.

Doing something productive. I could be studying, applying for a summer job, starting some sort of project, etc.

My love of cars. GT5 is also a great source of information. My knowledge of cars has skyrocketed ever since I got GT5. It encourages me to learn more about cars. I'd even go so far as to say that GT5 is one of the more educational video games out there.

4. If you have a significant other, spouse, or children; What do they think about you playing Gran Turismo 5 and what kinds of opinions do they have about Gran Turismo 5 as a video game?

My sister always says "this track again?!" every time I race on the nurburgring

GT5 made me love cars again. This is my first GT game, so I love GT5. You can tell from playing this game, the amount of care and passion PD has put into GT5.

Been playing since GT1, Its definitely more than a video game.

0 - 4 Depending on what else is going on, Doesn't help PS3 is at home and I work away during the week.

Nothing it is only a game.

Stress relief, and I have been with GT since 1 so I like it, I also enjoy motorsport and would like to participate but I have so many other things going on, that I cannot give the time and resources to it.

As I don't play unless there is nothing else going on, or she has gone to bed, she gets it I think. And my 3 old daughter always wants her pink fiat 500 with pink wheels to have a go everytime she sees me play. So I am doing my bit of getting the next generation involved.

It is just a video game, that gives me the abilty to do something virtually that I cannot do in real life at the moment.

1. 2 tops now that I'm in classes.
2. Enjoyment in general, studying so much isn't exactly fun.
3. I'm obsessed with cars.
5. It's a driving video game with some real life hooning applications in my case.

Ehm... none, everything should be balanced.

I love the game, seasonals, a-spec, b-spec, hunting for cars in the UCD/OCD.

My wife bought me GT5 and she logs in everyday for me so I keep my 200% bonus. Nuff said I think :)

Hard question to answer. I guess it's a little more than "just a driving video game" for me. I don't just play GT5 and that's it. I read these forums (don't post much though), find tunes, take the excel spreadsheet of the UCD database and make in into a grinding chart, for cars that i don't have. So i spend alot of time on GT5 outside of the game.
