I rarely get a cold but if I do, I stay inside and eat some nice warm soup while watching tv or sitting in front of the computer screen. Either that or I just go to sleep.
Chicken ramen noodles, cooked in 1 cup water 1 cup hot sauce, with a spoon full of cayenne powder and liberal amounts of crushed red and black pepper on top.
'Course, not many people can eat that, but it helps like nothing else.
Peanut butter and cheese sandwiches and hot chicken soup is the best. Peanut butter was once thought as the cure for the common cold. I also stay warm in a thick blanket, and try to sweat out the cold.
Vitamin C, zinc and vitamin E & A are usually take, even if they really don't do anything beneficial once you get a cold.
I take some Tylenol cold, and use the cold as an excuse to stay home and watch tv/play on the computer all day. Unless the cold is really bad, I normally wait it out.
I get naked and chase my wife around while I wear my "anti cold "wooly cap and sacrifice chickens to the germ warfare gods. jack Daniels kills germs dead.
Life goes on. I just stock up on tissues and fully utilise my excuse to whine about anything; from why our cricket team is sucking to why the batteries in the TV remote are flat.
Then at work I will make special trips to people I dont like, and breathe all over them in some pointless conversation I will start.
Drink those vitamin C dissolve in water tablets
Sit in a comfy chair in front of the TV.....(computer would give me a head ache)
Wrap in a blanket
Eat nothing.....just drink hot water (although you should really eat something)
Generally moan!
Think about all the rubbish work and school stuff I have to do whist im dying!
what do you guys classify a cold as?
runny nose and sore throat... then i usually just ignore them. both of them are my casual everyday winter thing. my sore throat usually goes away as i wake up, i think it is just one of them things i get because i was so cold when i sleep. then my stuffy nose i just casually suck it in until i get a chance to go outside.
anything worse than what i mentioned above i usually just try to ignore it. most of your problems are all in your mind. you can ignore/block out being tired when your workin out/running, and you can block out a headache or some minor sickness.
Well, In fact, I have a cold now. Just a nose cold. Nothing special. But when that happens, I carry a bottle of that nose spray along with me. Clears it up for 10-12 hours. 👍
