they're gonna bring the evo to north america in 2003, but they're gonna tune it down to 230bhp, ive heard, which is quite a pity considering the performance of their current 280turbo four. so im psyched for that, but for now my ride's a jeep grand cherokee '93, no mods, but i put in a pair of mb quart's in the front and a kenwood excelon in the dash. sub's goin in soon.  and yoder dude, jeep's arent gay - they're the shiz :cheeburga: and this dude's the man

Yeah whiz, your right about the gay ride.  Jeeps rule for the guys, the only reason women drive them is cause they want a set like the guys and can you blame them for wanting to be cool???
I cant wait for the Evo to come to the US.  It would blow away some of the hype by Honda, Mitsu etc in the Sport Compact market.   They need some taming with something that will rock thier world with real performance.  Later

i drive a 2000 denali for putting around in,,then after playing with this damm  game till my figures are soar, i hopp in my 64 gto convertible.  :)

whiz kid- i was told the evos were gonna have a measly 120 hp, but oh well they still have they 4G63 powerplant which is an awesome engine.

yeah, talon, im not exactly sure what the specs will be, but if the # is gonna be 120, thats it, im moving to japan.

Frestkd, you must be german or really like the bmw's.  That last car you mentioned, the m3, what year??  I like the M3 bimmers for their aggressive body kits (factory) and impressive performance.  The m5's are great too..

Thanks for the long thread and Im amazed at the diversity of cars everyone owns.  Nice.

My father liked Alphas but when he started a family he need a family car so a friend of his had a BMW 2002 and gave him a ride.  My father like so well he bought one.  It was just like his Alpha but it had a backseat for us kids.  So I grew up with BMWs all my life.  IH Scouts are our hunting trucks.

hey, i know an old thread...im bored

but heres something...for people who posted in this thread originally, do you still drive this same car, if not, where did it go?

I drive a Pugeot 306 1.9 turbo.

I [will be] driving a 2000 Neon made in Indiana so it as few features that are not available here in California.

4-Wheel Disc Brakes, and Traction Control.

Not sure I'll be needing the traction control for anything...right? :sly:

The disc brakes are extra safety for when I have to watch out for drivers that aren't exactly paying attention.

Jon.
Did GTP not have an automotive section back then?
Don't know, probably not since it was a mod that started this thread.

1988 Volvo 740 Turbo, new factory exhaust from the cat back, 195/65SR-15 up front and 195/65TR-15 rear tires. "Dial-a-Boost" Boost controller and boost gauge that reads 30 in. vacuum and 20 pounds of boost. AW71 automatic transmission. 15W40 w/ 1 quart of 10W40 (burnt a quart in 800 miles :dopey: ).

Neons are made in Illinois.

Let's see:
I have a Nissan 350Z Nismo as a daily driver
Porsche 911 GT1 and MB CLK-DTM race cars as track toys
And a Range Rover as an offroader. 👍

Smells like a repost...

Anyway, I have an '88 Corolla SR5 a.k.a. a wannabe Hachi Roku. The way cars are going these days makes me LOVE my car, even if it is going downhill. :indiff:
