What do you think 'Improved racing sound effects' means?

I suppose the term "improved sound effects" means as it literally does, the revamped sounds of cars reflected in the game through the remarkable advance for creation of new video games, or distinctive sounds issued by other choices of settings(combination of aero-parts and such) available... as well as the expanded way of representation of noises with slight difference.

this guy ate something that was moldy. So because we are told they will be better they will be better?? No jedi mind tricks here.

It would be nice if they added the sound of crunching metal, breaking glass and cracking plastic when you crash. I never intend to hit the wall or another car, but the dull thud you hear now is not the least bit realistic.

Realistically, they probably just fidled with some tones and equalizer settings. It'll ptobably sound 10-25% better.
Some seem to confuse "improved" with "revamped" for some reason.

Hearing the BOV would be nice. Improved Crash effects better than just the sound of someone beating a plastic 55 gallon drum with a sledge hammer when your car gets hit. I wanna hear crunching metal. Maybe hear the driver yelling " hey moron where the
%$#& did you learn to drive. Making a V8 sound different than a honda once you get it tuned.

I just hope my m3 gtr dosent still sound like a hand held vac with this new update, it was ok before spec 2 but I can't drive it anymore as it sounds so bad! Shame because it is a 550pp beast online

they could pull a forza(since everyone seems to think that game has better engine sounds) and make the cars all sound like they have 8,000hp 23 liter drag engines with no mufflers... all that takes is distorting the actual sound you already have... I think the engine sounds are fine currently but whatever. The wall bumps and car to car collision could definitely be improved a lot for the external views. Tire squeal could be worked on for different track conditions a little better. Maybe by better sounds they meant they are going to replace the terrible music track with the GT2 or GT3 one? ..i wish..

I hate the sound when you drive at about 10mph into the wall.. here's to hoping they change that..

You can already hear tge BOV.

They also better take of that overwhelming and annoying transmission noise
I honestly hate it as well, although real (like proven earlier), it'd still be nice to have some option to regulate that sound. I understand that might be a bit of a difficult/awkward decision/issue. I just prefer to use the hood view, only the sound of the transmission can sometimes put me off so that I just change my camera view.
IMO my camera view should be based on the visual aspect, not audio aspect (after all it's still a video game).

Something else I find annoying, while it's not incorrect or anything, is when the exhaust pipe is on just one side of the car (left or right) and you use headphones, one ear gets all the sound of the exhaust and the other ear nothing. (Not sure if it's the case with all cars.)

Also annoying to hear the exhaust sound of the racer in front of you over your own engine/exhaust. I'm not sure if it's real but to me it sounds imbalanced.

I love this game though. 👍

@OP
Already said, but to keep it realistic I think it'll be improved wind noises, maybe car collision sounds.

You'd be surprised how many Forza players envy GT's engine sounds. Strange but true.

GT5 has better graphic than Forza by far but the sound of the cars are amazing. Like:

This one is the supra and the way the car start spoolin and then goes is just like the real deal:

I have downloaded the update with the improved sound effects. Some sound good while others.... You be the judge.

New Stars and Stripes Seasonal Event
Dodge Viper ACR with full tune then tuned down to race requirements.
8 Lap Daytona Race
The car sounds like it's a high pitched alarm.

I have never driven a real race car but should it sound like this? Is it the transmission that I am hearing?
