What do you think is the best cockpit in game?

Wrong, TVRs have notoriously poor reliability. The quality of materials is usually very good and even the fit and finish is pretty good. They just don't work most of the time :sly:

I must have been the lucky one, three years daily commute in a Tamora and it did not miss a beat. Sure the early Tuscan Speed 6s had their problems but that is not all TVRs. More to the point two people in my road have Porsche's that have spent more time in the garage for repairs. Not slagging off Porsches per se, but let us put things in perspective.

Anyone know why you can't see the side mirrors from cockpit view in the F1 car, or do the drivers actual have to look over their shoulders to see the mirrors?

from what i've heard from F1 drivers on interviews, they can't really see much of them, i think they rely mostly on the team radio and things like that.
if you ever watch them when they put on the onboard camera, they can't really see the mirrors. plus the helmets don't really help much either.

Don't worry, I was defending TVRs overall but on average they seem to have a higher percentage of breakdowns. I remember in the late 90s Top Gear magazine had five different test cars in a row break down over a period of issues!

Another in-car view I like, just discovered it today - The little Daihatsu ACV concept. Like the TVR it has a reverse rev-counter, and a little display screen

Sure Cockpit view does not add more realistic Physics, but its a SIM, and it adds so much depth into loving your favorite cars.

I agree on Viper inside, Both look great, but I love the gauges on the dashboard that are Horizontal not vertical.

Have you guys noticed in some cars OIL pressures guages work? :)

yes! i love it. i wanna try and see if the fuel gauges work, i'm gonna do a time trial and just keep on running and running to see if the fuel level will actually go down.

Nice catch! A little tricky to install, but it works great!

Great shot! And that's exactly what it looks like to drive the real thing too! Kazunori was very concerned that the game's perspective looking out of the cockpit was exactly the same as the real thing. The details are amazing - see the little seam just to the left of the gauge cluster? That's an access panel that we had to make to get to the bolt holding the windshield frame in place. Because the OE dashes are padded we had to to A LOT!!! of work to make it look good and had to fab these little panels to get to the windshield mounts.

I think somebody here had mentioned that the wheel obstructs the speedo, but that's the way it is with the real car...... The old wheel was large enough that it was on the outside of the speedo, and just about rub your legs when driving (you needed the extra leverage because of the manual steering). with the real thing you can either drive by the tach or just lift your head slightly to see the speedo.

Am I missing something?
