What do you think is the most frustrating game ever?

GT2 when I couldn't drive. I drove so bad I couldn't even get my A license and I had 12 cars, most of them crappy. I got so peeved at that game that I broke a $40 remote in half, and I was only 9 years old!

Today's games are usually quite fair...back in SNES times or earlier, wow there were really hard games... or better unfair ones... can't complain nowadays, alot of them are too easy, for example GT4....

ya know I can still remember trying to beat street fighter 2 turbo for the snes on "10 stars" difficulty... and losing ONCE to m.bison and loosing both matches (my friend will vouch for this)

so anoying... so friggening anoying

I agree with NFS:U, and also I think burnout 3 is just as hard sometimes with the traffic at 200mph.

GT3, Counterstrike, and Everquest, some of the most frustrating games ive EVER played.

good frustrating would have to be dmc:3 on hell mode. hard more trouble on it than with NG.

annoyingly frustrating would be burnout 3, once you start getting the end game cars it gets ridiculous. crashing every 15 bloody seconds.

Ninja Gaiden.
Ive been playing conker and it pisses me off. Its SO easy but for some reason its hard to get from point A to point B. How annoying!

Most frustrating game ever. And racing game that involves traffic. Because you'd be about to win and out of no where a car T bones you....No matter if the intersection had a green light or not, or it'd swerve in your way......etc etc..

THAT....and....Kill.switch...You get to the last level..Not realizing it's the last level, beat some guy with 3 grenades...and it's over......Made no sense.

Driftster

I just saw a zombie movie the other day at the theatre and it had a crappy ending like that. I forgot what it was called but it was great until the ending. 👎

Final Fantasy IX with one of the secret bosses. That really did frustrate me. 🤬

I used to find Landstalker (GEN) severely aggrivating. It's a really fabulous game, but those jumping puzzles really pissed me off sometimes.
On behalf of a friend of mine, I have to say the most frustrating game ever is Blast Corps (N64). First, it gives you a seemingly endless series of challenges which must be completed with absurdly devious strategys. Once you're done all of them, it suggests that you go back and get gold medals for each one (unless you're an obsessive compulsive robot, most will be bronze). This is pretty damn hard. When you're done all that, what does it give you? Another level. "Now try for platinum!". Platinum medals in Blast Corps require a level of prefection I have yet to see equaled by any game ever. Space programs have larger margins of error, it's insane.

At the moment Conker Live and Reloaded is annoying me glad I rented it out the camera is bad real bad in other terms it sucks.

Actualy, way back in the days of GT1 I was such a car nut, and plus I was 10 or 12 when I got it, and I got so frustrated trying to beat some of those races. But the one game that ever actualy made me throw anything was Sonic the hedgehog on genesis. it was that game specificaly for me, but really any game from the 16 bit generation because there was no way to save your progress. after countless attemps to reach the end in one sitting and multiple incidents of flying controllers, I finaly realized even if I did, It would be gone as soon as I turned the consol off. At that point I stoped playing video games completely. Untill GT1 came out of course. :sly:

Ninja Gaiden isn't fustrating, it's jurrrsstttt right. Brilliant level of difficulty.

Stunt man drove me bananas. I like the game, but ....ARGGGG!!!!

My brother finds Viewtiful Joe an extremely hard game, and he's doing it in the easiest mode! I'm not into that type of game so I can't say I find it hard myself. :)

Viewtiful Joe is rediculous hard, even on Easy Mode! I can't beat it. And I smoked though other "hard" games like Ninja Gaiden and and Contra SS wondering why people had any trouble with them. But Viewtiful Joe.... geez.

I consider hard and frustrating two different things. Hard is Viewtiful Joe and F-Zero GX, where the difficulty is insane, but you know you CAN rise above it if you get "good" enough.

Frustrating is when the game isn't really that hard, but there's some little stupid something making it seem that way that you can't do anything about, like how you never really had full camera control in Ninja Gaiden, you he ends up running up walls like a moron and fallining into lava. But I heard they fixed all that in the Hurrican Packs, so I'm looking forward to trying Black when it comes out.

Devil May Cry 3 on Heaven or Hell mode.... before i even beat the first level i had to force myself to walk out of the room calmly. :nervous:

Final Fantasy Tactics for the PSX. My goodness, I tried over 50 times to beat the first battle and I never got around to it until recently. That game still frustrates me because I got it used without a user manual, so I didn't know that when your party dies, it dies for good. >.< The game's so complex sometimes I cry at night thinking about it...

There are a few games I really got frustrated with.

First on my list is "Einhander."

I just couldn't beat the game and there wasn't any sort of save system (that I knew of).

Another frustrating moment in gaming for me comes from a series of games rather than one particular title...

Resident Evil (before RE4)
With all the horrible camera angles I found myself cursing the camera far more than the zombies.

One last title worthy of mention is Gran Turismo 1.
Yes, I know... :dunce:

I love the game still and played the hell out of it when I first got into gt.
However, you must admit...
Dealing with license test for the first time ever in gaming (to my knowledge) made for some really aggrevating times.
Then trying to get gold or silver on them. :irked:

I really enjoyed all the games listed above but man was it hard to deal with some of the things included in each.

Thinking about it though... Einhander definately takes the cake for me in this thread... It was just too hard for me (especially since I never figured out how to save  :dunce: )

There is no save on Einhander because it's not that type of game, that would be like having a save point on R-Type it would make it too easy. Well it save's your scores and I think you can unlock new weapons and things I think.

Although I must admit the game is hard, but it's so fun and it has some of the best bosses in a side scroller i've seen. Come on, I mean the dual cannons with the type 1 ship is so awesome. Or having the WASP home in on enemies not even in normal range whle your firing gatling rounds at some armored units on a train oh crap i'm going to have to play it now.

Manic Miner is my most frustrating game ever. I could get to level 19 nearly every game but could not get past it.
Wish i still had my old Spectrum i think i could probably beat it now i have had another 20 or so years practice on video games.

Final Fantasy 10 with all the secret bosses you need to go through... makes sin look like a moogle or somin....

Penance was a tough tough one to beat. How long did it take you to kill him?
It took me about 2 hours.
