Realistically please, maybe based on something if you can. what new technologies will be have in the future? the future of gaming, travel, education? and please no proverbial "we cant be sure" or anything, I just need some ideas on what you think. theres no right or wrong, just what YOU think. Thanks.

Pretty sure computer chips will be completely integrated onto a single die the size of a pubehair.

20-50 years. hmm

Cordelss everything, but not the Power cables.. thats in the next 100-150 years from now.

All in one very slim PCs. So yeah all you will get is 10mm screen thickens with 50x greater capacity over current super computers.

Cars that will go 150-200 mpg. Or full Electic (fuel will never go out, its all Govt BS)

3D without glasses

Mind controlled appliances

Cars that drive for you from destination to destination.

Artificial, robotic Limbs

Almost Human Like AI with almost human like robots

A walking tank! :D

More advanced aviation safety, crashes wont result in fireballs.

10times faster Aviation

Space trips , still only for the rich :(

GT10 with PlayStation 9 with super realism and running out of ideas on what physics and effects to implement.

Will still use Forks and Knifes to eat dinner.

Overpopulation and birth licences/forced abortion.

Technology wise is anyone's guess. I reckon we would have drilled into that ice moon of Jupiter (?) looking for water by then.

Interesting stuff. so maybe 75 years from now. Because concepts always take years of development money, time, safety, you know the deal.. as well when high power is needed it will be bit more challenging.

I think in 25 to 50 years you will have a TABLE that will be connected by a cord for electrical power. That table then will be powering all objects that are placed on your desc wireless. Like a computer, a lamp, a clock. speakers, etc etc. Something like that wireless battery charger for the cellphones, but on bigger scale.

Oh forgot to mention.

Another great war..

WWIII this time because of over population, but will be blamed because president X tripped on a button in Presidents Y country but President Z will start it.

If we look back from 1960 to 2010, the advance in technology is staggering. So, in 50 years, we can expect at least two or three times that amount of development, if not more...I can't even fathom what that will be like. Oh wait, I'll be the old 76 year-old coot who still refuses to buy a 3D TV :D.

Funny how humanity is primitive for thousands and thousands of years.. yet in last 100 years we did wonders. I dont get it.. something had to jump start us for doing that..

Isn't the title of this thread asking you to predict the future's future?!?:dunce:

Plausible things:

Unlimited range vehicles which will get power from the road via electro magnets.

TV's will be replaced by video walls

The first Exabyte harddrives will be released

Following the alignment of the videogame industry Polyphony 10 will release Gran Forzimo 3 on the Playbox 7200

Completely out there predictions:

30 years from now there will be a "robot apocalypse", we will be able to fight them off and kill them all only to have them resurface 20 years later in the "zombie robot apocalypse".

The FIA will make consistent and fair rulings.

I know so why are you complaining and not predicting it?

I think we will have flying cars! :sly:

Hopefully we'll have gotten Fusion right by then.

We might use Black Matter in 50 years.

• Flying cars
• Domestic servant robots
• No crime
• Flat screen TVs
• Holidays on the Moon
• Nuclear powered trains
• Digital watches with built-in phones
• Food replaced by nutritional pills
• Everyone wears metallic jumpsuits

No new borns will have green/blue/grey coloured eyes.

The future that was ballyhooed 50 years ago turned out to be complete horse-puckey.

In my humble opinion, the key to understanding what the real future will be rests in the answer to the question of sustainability.

Respectfully,
Dotini

If we are all still alive I honestly think it will be very similar to movie called "The Demolition Man". Everything will be similar, well besides the 3 sea shell thing. Thats just strange. lol

You'll have had Cochineal loads of times anyway ;)

:yuck: I'll take Soylent Green first.

I've heard mixed reports about Soylent Green. Some love it, some can't stand it. I guess the taste just varies, person-to-person.

There is no doubt whatsoever that entomophagy and cannibalism, whether simple or ritual, marked significant portions of humanity's past. It takes no leap of imagination to assume these will figure in its future.

Just like with a nice steak or a slice of Bacon, if it doesn't look like the creature it originates from i don't have a problem with it ;)
