If I can remember one thing I was sure PD would add to this past update was saving during the 24 hour and 9 hour races, thats all I have left in the game, and I'm a full time student and work part time. I really wanted that so I could have enough time to finish it and enjoy it when I'm free with out leaving my fat 60 gig ps3 running until I finish it. I'm not looking for yellow lights from my ps3 cuz I can't drive. If I wanted yellow lights, I'd stop on green lights when I drive.

The ability to save your progress in an endurance race so that you can shut your ps3 off and go to sleep, work, etc.

I would like happy/sad gestures. So, after you cross the finish line or whenever you want, you can press a button to put your hand up in the cockpit either say "Oiii watch it" or "yesss, I done it"

Even preset ones for when you win would be cool, so you win and then your driver waves his hands in the air :)

+1 for endurance saves

On the subject of standard to premium its not as easy as you might think they pretty much have to start from scratch to make a premium model. Simply loading up a standard model and tinkering with it wont be enough modeling is not that simple especially so when dealing with curved architecture like fender flairs and bonnet topography. It would be faster to start from the beginning than to edit a existing model.

Prize money and all that i agree is too low i just now hit my first 10 mill + and im 88% complete having had the game since day 1. giving prize cars for championships seems a good way to do this after all they don't say "oh you won the prize from this championship last year so you don't get it this year" single races and non championships i can see only getting the car once.

A-Spec event creator would be awesome i most often grind the extreme euro races as they give a passable amount of money and i can use a lot of cars for them .. I would like a Asian style race like this with the same difficulty and payout and a American one. As it is there are only a certain few cars that can do the Indy or laguna seca American race and win let alone the Super GT race for Japan only cars.

A paint shop would be great too along with a preview of the paint on the car.

The AI is probably decent its the lack of limitations on the races that makes it laughable once you get past the field its game over for them. A more limited entry field would help this IMO

-I'd like to see a more in-depth system for engine modification. Mainly more parts that you can upgrade. Nitrous would be nice too.

-More areo parts would be cool.

-Maybe even updated car sounds, even if it's only a few new ones, as long as it adds more a variety of sounds to the game.

-A simple livery creation tool for RM compatible cars perhaps? Even if it's like the system GRID had, I would be happy with it.

The ability to pick a bunch of upgrades/modifications in one go rather than one at a time.

The ability to buy more than one car at a time.

I posted some things I'd like for patch 1.07 but guys you do understand that these patches are things that they've been working on for months to years now right? Their patch timeline is already set in stone, the only thing that will be dynamic is some bug fixes. Don't want to be the wet blanket in the house but just making sure you guys do understand this. Whatever comes in 1.07 was planned for 1.07 probably in September.

The game should give the option to have different size and width wheels. And motor swaps and drivetrain conversions would be cool as well, but not a must.

This would be very simple to do if I'm not mistaken.
I was on GT-TV last night and watched the video on the SLS, and
Kaz said something about how they plug in the parameters of the vehicles into the game model, and therefore they drive like the real thing. So say if somebody wanted to take an FF car and convert it into a FR car, there would need to be a feature that would simply need to change it's parameter from FF to FR. Simple right?

Personally I suspect we will start to see actually new features and content (maybe in a big "Spec 2" patch) rather than just very slight improvements and bugfixes only after big competitor games (Forza 4, Shift 2, etc) will be released. Somehow I feel (or maybe, hope) that PD didn't want to show everything right away on release date since notoriously other game companies ended up including in their racing games features or content first introduced in GT.

I may be nitpicky, but how about longer lasting tires?

Double or even triple stinting tires can make the 24 hrs enduros a little bit more interesting.

I'm not buying this. This stuff didn't come out on time because the "powers that be" wanted the game out at holiday time. It doesn't make sense to release a game that's gonna tick people off and leave a bad taste in the mouths of some. They can patch this game to high heaven but some people are so turned off they'll never return. That's bad business. I for one will wait when GT6 comes along and see what the "word on the street" is before getting it. If I had bought the game today I probably wouldn't be thinking this as the patches really helped, but as a person who bought the game a week before release I have to admit it didn't wow me at all. Usually you keep the cards close to your vest BEFORE release. Turn10 knows what they got in store. I would not be surprised if both companies got "spies" in the others camp. Or some way of getting knowledge that even we don't know.

What id like is a better AI pit schedue for endurance races. Ive done the 300km of Grandvalley and 4 hour Roadster race and each race i had to pit due to worn tires maybe 3-4 times. However the AI competitors only pit once, if that.

Also the ability to "park" in pit lane during races would be nice. Since during the endurances I dont want to park on the side of the track when i go to get a drink something. This would be good especially for the 24hour race. This should also factor in on AI driver as you almost have no choice but to go with an extremely powerful vehicle in order to get out ahead of the group by a significant lead as a player would of course need to take breaks to eat or what have you, whereas the AI will just continue nonstop. This is what I dont like about the endurance races.

Mind you, you are 20 sec a lap faster than the AI on some tracks, and outbrake them drastically on each corner, and you are SURPRISED that you are eating up your tires faster than they are? Try driving around at their pace, and see if your tire wear isn't more equivalent... 💡

You are right about that. Missing features might simply just be not ready yet. But also imagine the potentially renewed interest if a future patch containing content and more improvements than usual will result in a new retail version of GT5 known as "Spec II" (containing also all previous patches released via PSN, for those without internet connection). This already happened with GT5 Prologue (with the Spec II and Spec III versions) and I see Sony/PD doing that again strategically when other competing racing games will be released.

They can't add cars by updates

Reason: Too much mb
GT5:Prologue Spec II and Spec III.
Spec updates added 37 new selectable cars and 1 new track/2 variations in total, in addition to online, 2 player mode and other features.

👍

What's odd is that some cars in the game do have a proper hood view, but the majority have the dreadful roof view. Why is there a clear lack of consistency throughout this game?
Both driver views should be supported. Hood view is too low. Freaking cockpit view is too low! In fact, what we really need is what I've been forgetting to mention for weeks now.

Give us ADJUSTABLE views we can set in the game options. Let us pick how many views we want, adjust settings like placement, aim, camera dynamics such as fixed or floating and inertia, and save them.

This way, hood drivers, us roofers, bumper cam folk, chase cam users, cockpit fiends can ALL be happy, and no one has to use a view they don't like. What a concept.

Ask it to Stephen Hood (@T4RG4)

Now that I can get with. There will probably still be those who are turned off but you could win back quite a few doing that. I guess that's like FM3's re-release of FM3 Champion Edition or whatever they called it. A re-packaging works more than I thought they would. The Spec II thing did work and Spec III and the "new" FM3 worked also. I see alot of people talking about they bought it when I really didn't think they would sell anything with that. Good points man, good points.

Come on man, you're using common sense, you know that's not fair.

Just want two things

Endurance Saves
More XP - I don't want to do the Le Mans 24h 11x just to reach level 40

This is very likely, since there are probably millions of GT fans who still don't have broadband on this planet for whatever reason. Plus, the convenience of having it all on a convenient Blu-ray disc, thoroughly tested, and the fact that a download of it all would be inconvenient at the least, is hard to pass up. And many of us are suckers for hard copy goodies which don't expire or need to be backed up. The Forza 3 complete dealy sold reasonably well, and so did the update to Prologue.

And you're likely right about PD waiting until Forza 4 ships to give us something substantial for GT5. I've noticed that a small group of us here have been posting some very tantalizing ideas for Gran Turismo over the past several years, and many of these concepts have shown up in one game series: Forza. And Turn 10 has been pretty reliably lifting key concepts from the GT series itself to use in their games. Heck, they took the whole bloody concept.

Considering that Kaz had to let go of the game in this shape has obviously left a bad taste in many gamers' mouths, he's probably working on something significant for GT5.2. We could see something this year before Forza drops, but who knows. Maybe he's even wanting to see what he can milk back from that other franchise. ;)

Come on man, you're using common sense, you know that's not fair.
I have my non-fanboy moments. :D

But seeing as PD are peeking in here to see what fans want (as well as T10 most likely), it's a good idea to throw things out there for them to see. Hopefully some of the better ideas will manifest in an update along the way.

Hey works for me. Whoever gets it out there first is fine by me. Every day we're one day closer to the grave, so whoever can get it out the quickest is the one for me ;) lol

- slipstream more realistic (or possibility to choose intensity)
- possibility to select how much fuel start the race
- host in online race restricted car, can choose from he's favourite's car
- gap time from front and rear car in a race
- into online endurance race possibility to switch driver into pitstop (example me and my friend switch into a 2hours @Nurb
- full support G25/G27

If it ain't too much to ask, three new RM'd cars:
RM Toyota Supra '88 (I miss this from GT1 and GT2 with it's HUGE wing)
RM Viper SRT10 Coupe '06 (gives people reason to buy it over the ACR)
RM S2000 '06 (I wouldn't even care if the race kit was taken from the AEM S2000)

See this is one I thought they would have done something unique with. I thought for sure there was going to be something like this we could do. It was a given in my mind. The 24 Hour race should have been something that could have been shared online with friends. Get together with some guys on your friendslist and everyone takes a time block to race. I take the 7:00 to 9:00pm block and aelxino you'd come take the 9pm to 11pm block. So about 15 minutes ago you'd have got online and subbed in for me in the pits. I got into the pit, press "driver change" and you get some kinda indicator and next thing you pop into the cockpit and you keep on driving. When it's over we all get the credits and xp.

The ability to save & load a grid in remote races. Takes forever selecting drivers.
