What does a engine overhaul mean?

I have a 2008 BMW M5 which I made from 499hp to 704 hp and usually when i clicked on engine overhaul at the maintenance place, it said its in good condition. Now, it just directed me to the place where I was able to pay them to do it, therefore, I payed 41,00 credits and got it done. I probably raced 15 times with this car and during the races, i just loved to floor it and at practice I loved to make the engine roar. (Pressing the brake and gas button at the same time.)
Do these reasons effect my car? How long should a car drive before you do this job?

I'm assuming it's another form of gradual performance deterioration that we have to keep track of, like oil changes and chassis refreshes. It would make sense that continually bouncing off the rev-limiter would cause it to degrade faster. If that's the case, I have a few cars that are ready for expensive overhauls. As for the timeline between overhaul to overhaul, your guess is as good as mine.

I could be wrong, and I probably am, but I was messing round in my R10 stealth last night and took it into GT Auto. Bear in mind Id driven it about 20 odd miles. I went to engine overhaul and the body stiffening thingy and they only cost 500 credits each, where as I travelled not even 10 miles in my Veyron and it asked for 500.000 credits! Could it be that the stealth cars have really cheap running costs? Or could it be that you will pay differing amounts compared with what car you own. This could do with clarifying.

Engine ovehaul are for cars with alot of miles on it.. It rebuilds the engine.. Best for used cars you want to be like new..

Somewhere else in this forum I read that all "stealth" cars can have their engines and chassis repaired/refreshed for $500.00. Repairs/rebuilds for "non-stealth" vehicles were typically half of the purchase cost new.

Hi, I noticed that oil change is incluided in Engine Overhaul, so don't do a oil change and then an Engine Overhaul...

I imagine it as a full service. I'm sure you wouldn't want to keep clicking and spending money on each individual part for port polishing and injection cleaning and so on...
Just annoying it costs so much. you can understand if it's a race car or a ferrari.

Kinda logical. If they take apart the whole motor and put it together again only to put 100.000km-used-oil in it ... would be a shame :)

Still good to know ingame ^^

So I've been reading and hearing rumors that if you happen to buy a (New) car there's a "break-in" period. Can anyone verify this?
