What does gt5 mean to you?

I love cars and am not a millionaire (yet), so the Gran Turismo series has always provided me with a way of driving, modifying and enjoying so many cars. Plus I cannot describe that special feeling of buying and/or driving a car in real life that you always admired and enjoyed in the game. The GT series has encouraged me to buy and modify many interesting cars over the years in real life, from a modified old VW Beetle to a modified Mazda RX7 Effini tuned by RE-Amemiya!

I'm not going to lie, GT5 has effected me a fair bit. I can safely say it's the most a game has effected me ever. As I've said before I'm actually relatively young and didn't have much racing experience or knowledge before this game. I can 100% assure that the game has made me a better driver in multiple ways, such as faster reacting, better car control, way more awareness, etc. Since starting this game I have done some real life racing and managed to have a commanding lead in the first race I had ever done. Ever. I'm not going to say this game is my life, because that's not the case, but I can fully agree that is has changed it, quite greatly.

It's a videogame.

You're so hard bro.

Experiance ! I know it is only video game, but with my playseat and G27 wheel i could feel like i'm driving a real car. I got BMW 330cd in real life so the BMW 330i in the game let me feel like driving my own car :)

I just answered the question. That's what GT5 means to me, it's just a game, something I play for fun.

Well in the case, well done my friend.

Since getting out of the hospital, playing GT5 takes away the pain better than all the medicine I've been prescribed. True story.

Hmh, you remind me of someone I know.

To me, the Gran Tursimo series overall really have improved my knowledge of cars 💡

Like you coffee,GT has improved my knowledge of cars and is what made me so into them, all the way back to GT1.:)
I'll be walking down the road, see a car and to know what it is,I use GT as reference and think'that car's in GT,I'll give it a drive later'.
GT is why I like cars so much and the reason why I started watching Top Gear too.
So without GT1 I wouldn't have got all the way to GT5 today and GT6 later this year.

I was walking down the road the other day and as i passed a Supra i caught myself thinking " Standard car "

[Personally]Most of all, GT is/was an opportunity; an opportunity to become a real race car driver. It's not simply a marketing ploy to me. I appreciate the opportunity afforded those who normally wouldn't have a foot in the door. For that, GT5 is more than a game to me. All that stands in the driver's way is his own level of determination, dedication, and the will to never give up. For anyone who's ever faced muscle failure from physical exertion only to press on by sheer willpower or kept running after they could run no more, that's what I'm referring to and I'm glad GT academy, after only one is left standing[now more?], brings that out in potential racers. /soapbox
