Not to sound immodest, but I am exceptionally good with my Cobra 427, and rarely, if ever, lose online with it (excluding against F1 and the like). But for some reason I simply can't win the vintage car event at Deep Forest (expert series) What would be a good alternate choice to use? I'm just now level 18 so I can't buy a Chaparral or P4. Suggestions?
 
Anything under year 1979. However, the car needs to be able to keep up with the race cars that is enlisted to show up, though. You can check out this link for every car that can be applicable for the event:

The best good way to beat the event is to ignore it until you win the Toyota 7 from the B-Spec race Like the Wind.
 
Most people won this event with the TOYOTA 7, but I don't know if Level 18 is high enough to buy it. Some made it even with a fully modded Countach or a Challenger.
 
Chapperal 2J = easy (expensive car, but even the bobs can win the cup with it)
Challenger R/T RM '70 = medium (cheap, needs fine tune)
Camaro RM '69 = medium (cheap, needs fine tune)

I won both A Spec events on Historic with this car maxed out, won quite easily really just watch your mirrors on deep forest as the Toy 7 starts to catch you ;)
 
I did it with the jag i won from some other event.

Why buy it? You can win it from 'Like the wind' B-Spec. ;) And it's perfect for this event.
 
I won it with the RM stingray. Ran a mid turbo and slicks. Had to force the T-7 off the road on the first turn in both races
 
Oh yeah grid position is important aswell, try restarting the race until the Toyota and 2J are both behind you on the grid as this helps if you use a lower powered car :)
 
Why would the Camaro be better? Doesn't it have a fair bit less power, and alot less grip? J/w

And how do you get the Jag?
 
The Camaro RM is lighter, more rigid and has more downforce.

After all, it's a racing car..
 
Haha my bad, I forgot that you could race modify them =p
What level do you have to be to do that? I don't see any option to run that race?
 
Best cars for this event:

1) Toyota 7 Race Car '70 - prize car for B-Spec Like the Wind
2) Chaparral 2J Race Car '70 (best choice for B-Spec however)
3) Chaparral 2D Race Car '67
4) Jaguar XJ13 Race Car '66 - prize car from A-Spec Indy 500
5) Ford Mark IV Race Car '67
6) Ferrari 330 P4 Race Car '67
7) Ford GT40 Race Car '69 - prize car from B-Spec Indy 500
 
You need to be level 28 to unlock Indy 500.
So there's no point in waiting for that, just get the Camaro.
 
If you've won a Lamborghini Countach, this event can be beat with one of those fully tuned.
 
10-4 I'll give that a try. I just hate to admit defeat with the Shelby...It's my favorite... =p
 
Personally, I beat it with the Countach. I had the 2Js behind me, and it took me 3 tries on Deep Forrest. Kept messing up because the Countach doesn't have front downforce, so whenever I hit a bump my front end was up in the air. Good luck though :)

Oh, and the 427 is impossible to win with because it has 0 downforce :P

Impossible it is not.. just needs a very good setup and a great driver! :sly:

A 2J or Toyota 7 is simple to win it.
Toyota 7 is easy to get
 
No, I was thinking of the toyota 7, I thought it was red because I'm used to seeing the back of it!

You can't win the 2J or 2D as prize cars. The only options are used car garage, or birthday/1,000 ticket
 
Ok. I feel like this is hopeless lol... I got the Camaro RM and still can't do crap on Deep Forest.... I think the track is out to ruin my fun or something, cause I slaughtered them with both my Cobra and the Camaro on the Cote' D Azur track... I think this race is gonna have to wait till I can get my hands on a cheater car
 
Why don't you get you B-spec up to 20 - I think, and get the toyota 7?
 
Cause I just mother effin did it!!!! I tried a different line through turn one and the first set of esses and it was literally just enough to get me the lead and block the 7 and 2J. Like my margin of victory was .054. Im friggin ecstatic =D
