Ok so I have corrupt data on my hard disk & only way to get rid of it is to wipe my PS3 clean BUT I dont want to lose my online stats, stuff from PS store etc. So what does the restore PS3 system ACTUALLY DELETE?

It doesn't delete everything.
I believe only the "Format" option removes everything. I may be wrong though.

I did this on my dads ps3 when he had corrupt data and it fixed it. Don't worry you won't lose your saved data or games. You want option 3
