There is an arrow in the right top corner in each of the driver's stats screen.
I have seen an arrow pointing east in a green square and an arrow pointing south-east in a yellow square.
I have seen the arrows before (in PES I think...), but I have no clue what they mean....

It is their condition. Up means good, Down means bad.

As one could guess pointing up will make your driver perform better, when its pointing down he will perform comparatively poorer.

In the manual. Its form, good, med, bad. I'm unsure how it changes as I have left a driver alone while using others and it fluctuate all over the place irrelevant if they've been driving or not, winning or not, winning easily or only just, etc. It is possible its entirely random.

The only correlation I've found is that they go down often when going up a B-spec level group, so from 4-5, 9-10, 14-15. etc (When you can get another driver)

Which manual do you mean? I only found 3 basic pages in the in-game manual (when used from 'my home', there is some more on the editor) and the hardcopy manual I got with GT5 briefly explains the modes and that's it. I've been searching for a good manual but can't find it.

edit: found it! I spend too little time on the main page, but it's there :D
