Yah, it did come with a manual. I bought the same package.

ill just stick to regular brakes for right now hmm a lot of posts to go before i can use customized avatars.

I got same pkg and it came w/ a manual. Must be whatever machine packaged the discs/ps2's forgot to put one in yors. (Come to think of it, I never really read the manual...)

come to think of it......ive never seen one of those packages WITHOUT a manual........:odd:

If you hold it down it's good for doughnuts, if you just tap it helps loosen up a car with tight handling, to start a drift.

I got that package too and it came with a manual. Also if you take the time to look in the options screen at what the controls are, it will tell you, and it's a hell of alot faster than making a thread here and waiting for replies.

Yeah, but it's so much more fun to hear what other people think what it is!

I have had Gran Turismo 3 for a long time now and I could never figure out what the hell the O button is good for. All I use it for is spinning my car at the end of the race. It was helpful in Gran Turismo 1 & 2 but i want to know what it does in Gran Turismo 3.

Well, I use it if I spin out and I use it to spin back around to face the current direction.

So... lil_viper. Which is it? Do you really have this package, manual and all, or have you got a pirate copy?

Aarrrr!!!

If he has a pirate copy I'll keelhaul im!!! :p

You can go round a track without hitting a wall or going off if you know how to set it. I know it doesn't sound possible going round corners in an Escudo and I'm talking about the 1800Bhp tuned Escudo, but it is.

I already tried setting it up. It torque steers WAY TOO MUCH when you hit the gas, even with 90% rear power bias. I tried an EXTREME oversteer setup that puts really soft suspension in the front and really hard suspension in the rear, full downforce front, min rear, aligns camber in the front not the rear, and STILL it understeers a lot!

you could use the e-brake to break your tail loose if your car is understeering.

I think this should be your last option. A lot of understeer can be eliminated by tuning. Even if you don't have a suspension upgrade that doesn't allow you to do this, you should probably seek a different line and acceleration/deacceleration points. Even a simple (but relatively expensive) brake balance controller can help.

I've just found everytime I try to get the rear end to come around by using the handbrake its never faster.
