What does this icon mean?

I haven't noticed it before, but then again didn't ever do an endurance race on a track that has variable weather. It looks like it is an indicator of how wet the track is, but I can't really tell.

Surface Conditions (How much water on the track). It's been updated in the manual, as has a lot of information. I had to re-read it again.

What I'm guessing is the tire in the icon looks weird.

You're looking at it the wrong way, is all. It's not a side-view of the tire - it's a cross-section, viewed from the front or rear. Sidewall "(", Tread "_", Sidewall ")" (_).

Kinda like the low tire pressure light on the dash of real cars. *Wink*

I still don't get it, the symbol is really dodgy to be honest.

I've never thought it was a very good one, but it is the one that appears on real cars for the low tire warning. And the one ingame does tell surface moisture.
