Hi. I am wanting to buy a wheel for use with GT5. I like the looks of the G27 but I have read in other forums about people being upset PD did not fully support the G27 Wheel. Can someone please advise what does and doesn't work on the G27 with GT5? My impression is that it does have FFB, H gate shift, clutch pedal, paddle shifters, but NO on wheel button support. Is that right?

Thanks

Buttons that doesn't work are 4 on the wheel and 2 on the shifter.

Buttons that works:

Wheel:

Top left - look back
Top right - high beam

Shifter:

All top ones - x,o,triangle, square (same layout as the one on the controller)
All middle ones - left,right,up,down
2 bottom buttons - start,select

Shifter works, pedals with clutch, ffb. Sadly you can't map the buttons. Other than that, great wheel. I have one so i know. Once you make a handbrake, you forget all the negative things about the wheel.

The G27 works like a charm with GT5 and the only drawbacks are the one mikekhel30 stated out. You wont be doing anything wrong with purchasing the G27, when you stay at PS3 and/or PC.

I don't use any of the buttons on my G27 wheel in GT5. The G27 wheel is shape so you can easily slap a controller in the center of the wheel with only a few rubber bands. It's so easy a caveman can do it. For example: I mapped the right analog stick as my e-brake.
I wonder if there is a way to use the PS3 controller on the PC as well so I could use the controller instead of the keyboard.

Thanks everyone. Just what I needed to know. The decision is clear: G27 all the way.

I would also suggest looking at Fanatec. Being stuck on PC/PS3 could be a burden. I mean FM4 is right around the corner. If you think you might even want to get another console look at a wheel that supports Xbox as well. Just my 2 cents.
