What driver View do you use to drift??

I tried using the Road view for the first time a few days ago for drifting. And i'm glad i did. For some reason i can drift a lot better using this view, it seems easier to judge the reaction of the car, by how close to the edge of the road, and the angle. I used to use the Hood/Roof view and it was pretty good. I can't imagine using the Behind the car view. Are there any that use the DFP that use this Behind car view? And how do u like it??

I used the view from behind the car at first. I thought it was good so i could actually see the car drift. the I used the view of the hood because I thought it was more realistic, but realized you also saw the roof, and you dont exactly drive on the roof, so I switched to road.

I don't mean to be an ass and offer that as a replacement for this thread........I just remembered that it was there, and there was a poll question too!

anyways.
If I'm playing with the DS2 I'm most comfortable with the chase view. On the DFP I like the bumper view, the chase view with it feels too disconnected. I'm not sure why I prefer the chase view on the DS2 to be honest, it's quite arcade-ish - it's just what I've been accustomed to since the original GT.

i use the roof also. reaction time on chase cam seems off to me.

well I can pretend its the driver's view. Besides some of the cars look ugly when you see the roof.

i use the bumper cam, the chase cam just blocks my view.....
the bad thing is you can't see the back of your car.....the chase cam you can't see the front, so it's kinda a trade off

Same here...

Chase cam for DS2... Hood cam for DF/DFP... The bumper cam, I have always felt, is completely ludicrous... It gives you such a useless view of the road in front of you... Because you're so low to the ground, you can't really see turns coming up as easily, and elevation chages completely ruin your view...

The hood cam (Roof?... What cars does it view from the roof?) aleviated a lot of these problems by placing you near the actual line of sight you would have in a real car (without the ability to turn your head, of course)...

;)

Chase cam. Gives me a better feel of the angle i'm doing, and what the road is looking like up ahead.

Definitely the in-car view (bumper view). I can still kinda drift with the car roof view, but I can't drift with the chase cam at all.

you can see the roof in the FC(im racing it ATM)... and alot others i know.

👍 bumper cam for me.....how can you say bumper cam is useless.....its only one of the original views for the gt series.....the "hood" or roof cam looks a little too high and goofy....ok if you drive suv's i suppose...ahhah jp i know a lot that use that ROOF view but thas ok....as long as you have fun who cares?

I prefer the roof/hood view. Bumper cam is too low for me and I don't really have any feel for where I'm on the track (nothing to compare to -- in the other I have the hood).

i use the bumper view cuz the camera moves forward/back when you brake/accel and it also moves side to side when you turn. the hood view doesnt do that and its hard for me to tell how the car is handling, basically it feels really weird drifting like that. and the chase cam i used to use when i played on auto since i could see myself drift, now that im on manual its kinda hard to shift properly in that view.
