Actually, what he's referring to was the DDoS attack that was initiated by a member. He was banned for being an idiot and then posted a warning to Jordan in a thread to not ban him again, or he'd regret it. Subsequently, Jordan blocked him and the kid reposted threatening GTPlanet with a DDoS. He initiated it and that was the advent of the emergency site.

When it all sorted out, and Jordan was back up and running, there were letters involved from Lawyers to ISP's and parents.

Jordan has more resources to draw from than any of us realized.

The emergency forum was a mess for a handful of days that it was used. People re-registered with new names, caused havoc, swearing ensude, bad posting. No moderating staff. It was wild.

Although it was just 6 months (or so) ago, who can forget all the Extreme Rally (?) PM's and threads that spread like chicken pox? Hey, it was only 30,000 clams, how could there be anything wrong with that...?

How about the day when about 20 members got the axe, only for them all to come back in one form or another.

The Test Forum: Stupid, but effective. Back in the days when we appreciated The Rumble Strip too much to post junk or spam (with a few notable exceptions).

There's so many moments of wierdness around here. I missed the April Fool's prank. I guess that was a good thing to miss though.

I was a member of that Foundation. It was totally for the 1337 only. We knew and know things you'd have grey hair over.

Ahh, I guess I am a 2nd Gen member. I miss Rumple, and Klos's hilarious posts, and the good ol' test forum, there were great things in there. The Color blue, GTP Election... DWOP!!!

My awesome organisational skills and the test forum led to its demise. Oh well, all fun while it lasted. Anyway, you can still look on Google as they have some of the pages cached.
