I looked around and couldn't find anything but initial reactions.

My cars seem to have less front end grip now and it's pissing me off because i spent a good amount of time getting these to hook up the way i wanted. I want to know what effects the changes are having on cars now.

What effects does ride height now have compared to before?

I'm freaking out a bit cause the cars i loved to drive before are now sliding up the track.

Hit the tuning forum. There are a few discussions happening over there. Noone knows the full effect yet and I am sure by the weekend we will all think it does something different and be back to our normal tuning community arguing.

I have been searching/waiting for some answers also. I haven't had a chance to get online yet today.
I use ride height to balance my cars. :nervous:

I was on last night for a bit, and it looks like you are going to have to rebalance all off your cars Chrunch.

Also, anyone notice that the draft is enabled in free run mode now?

MCH is right. The tuning forum will be your friend. 👍

Oh no! This can't be good. :-( I'm like most of you, I had hundreds of cars tuned where I wanted them.

Ok, I ran my room last night and it wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought.

My Lotus Elise ’00 felt great but it’s ride height settings are pretty close, -23/-20.

My DeLorean felt a little loose. It’s setting are something like –18/-7 and it was well balanced before the update.

The rest of the cars I drove were FF and none seemed to be adversely affected by the update.
I’ll see if I can still drive my Stratos tonight. Its setting are –23/0. I have a felling it is going to be crashing loose.

I think that ride height has a much lower effect on oversteer/understeer and rotation. Instead, using ride height and toe gets the car around the corner the best.

Been using my same ride height settings of +28/-17 on my Suzuki GSX-R for the current TT @ Laguna Seca and have noticed to difference. Car handles the same now as it did before the update. Even managed to improve my time with it last night by .300. Test a few other cars with the same nose up ass down settings with the same results. Same handling as before. It should be noted that I reversed the ride height settings and in each case the cars were pushing through the corners. Thats been my observations so far.

Has anyone noticed that in chase cam, the visual effect of the weight shifting seems more pronounced/violent?

Keep your eye on the rear wheels

Yep. I wanted to tune my new br-z tonight, thought it had a little understeer, it would have needed about a 3 or 4 notch adjustment before 2.08. Now adjusting ride height didn’t help.
BTW: I drove my Stratos tonight it’s settings are –23/0, I was half expecting to be doing somersaults all over the track. Well the thing was just as evil as always, maybe a little worst, but not undrivable.

I only drove random shuffles last night, but noticed the audi s4 actually turned into a corner!! It wouldn't do that before if you came in too fast.
(i'm using G25)

Great!! you are one of my favorites tuner!

Full throttle has more amplified effects than before, meaning:

faster on straightaways,
more oversteer if oversteered before
more understeer if understeered before

but all this is tamed with driver input, thus more rewarding than before.
Just saying, I can sense this, and more, with 2.08
