you know the little number that tells you how much post you did so far i think that should be put back you always have to click on your name to see how much post you have posted..

Well you can just access it at the process of clicking of your name . Plus there are about three other threads on this very subject!

The only people to whom it is important are the people who prefer quantity over quality. There are members with well under a thousand posts who always add something worth reading, and there are multi-thousand-post users who have never made a comment worth clicking on.

If it's that important to you, click on the person's profile and find out in 3.5 seconds how many posts they've made. If you don't have that long an attention span, more's the pity.

Also, you can tell if I am a regular poster. You can look under my avatar and see that there is no status. A member who has not posted enough can't do that. Quit trying to find ways to bring things back, it won't happen.

Well, i still support the fact that they were taken out, before it would turn into a problem of where arguments would be taken with "you're a n00b so shut up" as what happened at another forum that i visit.

What does it matter how much you post it what is said in the post that counts, and im not just saying this because i don't have a lot of posts because i could have easily posted a lot of crap to get my count up but that is just lame.

mmm I have 56k, maybe that's why I get angry sometimes?

And DODGE the VIPER + Ruffryder27 if we have members that would post just to raise there post count surely they should be rid of?

Also now that there's no post visable in threads isn't that a good excuse for people to spam

..because no one will notice that their post count has jumped up by (eg) 1000 overnight?

Ummm, if no one will notice the post count, then what's the point in postwhoring and spamming to begin with? Why would you waste the time making 1000 garbage posts if the only reward was to change your avatar?

Besides, even without the post counts being broadcast, it's perfectly obvious who the whores are and who the valuable members are. There are plenty of both.

It's like telling an olympic if he runs 20m past the finish line

I have 8000+ posts. 7000+ excluding all the post whoring I used to do.

BTW - Sparxx, you are lucky that weren't removed from the boards altogether. I dreaded the day when post counts were to be removed but I don't really care now.

I see that they are back now... which is a little disappointing. I think it is really not a valid measure of somebody's worth, and I think it fosters competition and pointless posting.

No, post counts are not back. I do not have any plans on doing that.
