What happened to my premium status?

Okay, so something strange just happened. I logged in a moment ago and I'm greeted with a message at the top of the screen asking me to validate my e-mail address before I can make posts.

I was a little puzzled but I still went ahead and did it. But once I'm done, I discover that my premium status has disappeared, even though it wasn't suppose to expire until February 4th, 2012. Even right now, in my control panel under "Paid Subscriptions", it says it expires on Feb. 4th, 2012.

Can someone please explain to me why this happened? Thank you in advance.

EDIT: Okay...it just came back. I'm still very confused on why this happened. If someone could still answer, I would greatly appreciate it.
