I remember them appearing in GT4 but wasn't sure if they appeared in GT5 (I rarely went to the UCD). Now with the full car list available in GT6, I can't find the FPV cars and they're not in the Ford (AU) either.

Did something happen to them?

That's quite disappointing. I would like somewhat of a Falcon to match the Commodore.

PD were sent the data for the FG Falcon for GT5 but they failed into load it as they couldn't work out the password for the zip file (even though it was written on the DVD) #turestory

Wow...

With Bathurst now, I would hope they introduce current gen V8 Supercars and maybe provide an event there as a seasonal. Especially now with four manufacturers involved in the series, it would be a great DLC package if they went that way.
Bingo!
We have a winner!

Thanks, sometimes I get a good idea. I think Australia has some great racing in the V8 series and the road cars are super-cool. it is a shame PD has not taken the initiative and built on this opportunity especially after rendering the most famous track in Australia.

On a side note, I feel this would be the way to go with upcoming DLC. Utilize a famous track, provide the top three cars in the series that races there and voila, epic DLC.

V8 Supercars, BTCC, WTCC, British GT series, World Challenge series, I could go on but I think you get the idea.

Apart from the Commodore and Falcon, we had the Nissan Altima and the Merc E63 AMG last season.
2014 will have a special Volvo S60 V8 in the field as well.
But sadly Ford are closing their doors in 2016, and Holden will follow in 2017.
Whether the Falcon and Commodore are built off-shore and shipped back to Aus, only time will tell.
But you do have to wonder what will happen to the Aussie V8's in say 5 years time.

Not sure but perhaps Ford and GM will ship world chassis products that are sold in NA and overseas. The problem with that is the unique formula in the series, the front engine, V8, rear drive cars provide great racing.

I heard that Holden will still make cars but they won't make them IN Australia. Falcon I know will no longer be in production but I'm not sure about the Commodore.

I've heard the same.
Rumours are that the Commodore will be built off-shore.
And Ford announced the Falcon badge has been put away for good.

Yeah it would be nice if they bought the Falcons back. I wonder if you can put a Chevy badge on your Commodore in the tune up options.

You'd have to think that they would have some V8 supercars added as DLC later especially with Nissan in the series.

Understood, makes sense considering the Holden Commodore is badged a Vauxhall in Europe. Ford is moving to different architecture in their platforms so a one-off for one country may not suit the global marketing strategy they are developing. Shame though, I have said for years if Ford brought the Falcon here to NA, I would buy one in a heartbeat.
