What happens when i do this?

So i accidently made my PS3 install DLC which takes 1 hour to install. EACH. I wanted to quit it but it said don't turn off and when i did it protested with some beeps. What happens when i turn the power off to make it quit?

Well it did the beeps but didn't shut down. Maybe he is now.
