What happens when you drag race a donk (donk = 80's car with stupid big wheels)

I actually like the idea behind donks, so long as they changed the 30 inch wheels to 15s or so and made the rest tire. That would be awesome. I once saw a Camaro like that.

Goes to show you that if you're going to put 30" wheels on a drag car, you do it on the front wheels... more specifically, on a FWD DeVille... hopefuly the same will happen and all will be good again.

By the way, that's in Carolina ;)

The southern accents was the highlight, not surprised about the wheel.

Its 9:30 on a quiet Sunday morning, and I just laughed so loud it made my girlfriends birds start squacking. 👍

From the looks of it, he spun the wheels on the dyno. In that case, he would have even more power than what the dyno sheet showed.

That is a hell of a lot of power.

Unfortunately I can't confirm if it is a V6 or V8. When I googled around for "Chris Chow", some of the discussions surrounding the car say it's a V8. I was hoping to find a home page or something with more details. :( In either case it is one heck of a car.

http://www.turbobuick.com/ has some nice info & vids about these cars. Also take a look at this ebay auction : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290097755079

US$120K for an 87 GNX with 9 miles, never titled. WOW!!!

Theres also plenty of videos on Google/YouTube about Grand Nationals and GNX's. :)

Can you tell I'm a fan of this car. ;-) I'll get off my soap box now. ;-)

Jesus tap-dancing christ! I really wish I had alot of money I would so buy this. Less than TEN MILES! That's just too damn cool. The GNX is one of the coolest cars ever--period. Too bad GM killed it because it wasted the Corvettes of those days...it was one hell of a car.

Now on the topic of the dork in the "donk", that's just too damn funny.
