When I won my first FGT race... I was so happy to finally being able to control this car

👍
Those races were a pain!

Winning the FGT Championship was the happiest moment for me, especially when I won the final race at Suzuka :D

Beating the Top Gear Samba bus challenge. That one was a pain in the neck for something that had to be done to unlock a track. A fist-pump or two attended crossing the line in first. The Nurb/AMG challenges by contrast were pretty straightforward: learn track, do time, unlock.

my best moment, was on November 24th, when i went to the store at 8a.m. and i saw that they had the game... in stock... right there in front of me, 5 years of waiting..and after countless delays, the moment was then... that was my best moment

when someone traded me a Nissan Skyline 2000GTR (the 2dr coupe one,not the hatchback looking one)

absolutely love that car!

Friday, when I had only ten more "Days" to go before my dream W12 showed up in the UCD.

Of course PD pissed all over that when they changed the pattern in 1.06, and now I have no earthly idea when I am going to get it. I've been on for 2 hours now, not racing. Starting and stopping practice sessions and then darting to the UCD to see if it's there.

Thanks for the all-encompassing and rich gameplay experience, morons.

Don't feel bad, neither have I!!!
:banghead:

It could be worse, you could be me and never have been able to finish a single race in anything but dead last. I just can't drive that car at all.

The happiest moment was the day I bought it and the day I... oh wait, that's for boats.

Probably would be just any of the time I've played splitscreen with my brothers. Just good times right there.

And trailing that by a bit would be hitting the gas in the Speed 12 for the fist time. That car could leave tire tracks to the moon and still be spinning. :)

Five minutes from now when I finish the Bspec Formula GT for the second time because a power outage killed my progress 10 laps from the finish last time.

To give you an idea of how annoying this has been

6 races
30+ laps on large circuits
50+ minutes each

5 hours of my life down the drain...

Probably when I made my first turn in the escudo and realized it was back with a vengeance.

Or when I opened gt5

Least favorite- when I put the disc in for the first time, and realize it has to take 15 min to install.

When I got hold on a Buick GNX '87.... I just love the car.

First time I drove the Lamborghini in Special Events Grand Tour. Toscana at sunset..... Wow!!

Best: Either drifting my 650bhp Nissan 300zx, or when I do a fast, clean lap in my x2010.

Worst: That bloody challenge with the Lambo at night, or the b-spec historic champs.

Buying the 22B made me happy.

Winning bronze in the damn X Challenge (with DS3) made me very happy.

Finally holding my own copy of GT5 in my hands after long years of waiting
made me so happy I almost cried.

Cool thread, by the way.
Most of my best moments you already have mentioned here, playing it the very first time, golding Vettel, golding licences, maxing b-spec etc etc..

But my very best moment since playing GT5 was last weekend, when we had our 1st seasons very last HSRL league race and finishing 3rd. Track was Madrid. Being in a sandwich within the over-performing Lotus Elise´s, me racing in a Toyota FT86.
In my wildest dreams I wouldn´t have imagined how much tension a close battle can create.
Since then, I love the FT86 even more than before and Madrid has got my personal testtrack for fast checking car setups :)

Completing historic race car in a shelby cobra

And when I first drove the Ferrari italia 458 after driving a tuned mazda mx5

NASCAR race online. 6 players. On lap 9-10-ish I was crashed into a spin in turn 1. I hit another driver and we spun reeeaaaallly good for some seconds. We got back to speed, and immediately started working really well together on drafting. We were trailing by ~20 seconds when we were back at speed, with only 30 laps to go. But pushing and drafting efficiently allowed us to catch the pack on lap 38/40. All 6 cars raced together on the last 1,5 laps, and I managed to time my draft and slingshot to perfection, which led to 1st place :D

Yeah, I think THAT are those moments which make this game so precious 👍

Exactly. I usually sit in a fatboy in front of the TV with my DS3, just chilling. But at the end of this race I was standing up, and when i crossed the checkered line... Boy, I jumped around and even managed to wake up my roomie and his girlfriend :D

That´s just normal, mate. You have to share your happiness with the rest of the world. In this case with your roommates :D
Since my happiness erruption on Saturday my girlfriend´s a bit more aware of my sudden adrenaline bursts :)

when i rolled my rx-7 FC for the first time, just shows that PD actually went
and did other things rather than just change the physics and give crappy
damage graphics.
