What have you learned during your time here at GTP?

Ive learned that GT + car mags can make people think they know far more about cars than they actually do.
Also learned people will talk about cars as if they could be buyers even though they will never and have never been in the position to buy the car in question.
Last, Ive learned that calling those people out will result in flame wars.

Add to that all the typical internet stuff and there you have it!

Where have you been!!!!???!!

Ive learnt a lot from the C vs E thread.

Ive learnt that racing is a lot of fun

Ive learnt how to drive well.

But you haven't learned to use apostrophe's, now have you? :p

What have I learned? That I like calling people stupid, morons, idiots, dumbasses, and every variation thereof. I've also learned that because of this...I tend to make a lot of "friends".

T-12: Loved by some, loathed by everyone else.

I've learned that I should probably STFU.

I've learned that the rest of the Internet really has no excuse for its atrocious behavior, grammar, and so on.

I learned the excellence of GT5's online mode, but also the general way of discussing things in an actually good forum.

I've learned that I am way more popular than I thought I would be when I signed up.

I've also learned that I can't stop checking the forum every 3-4 minutes.

I've acquired confidence, and I am on here constantly. I learned that to get anywhere I have to keep my head up and go for it. Be aggresive, fight for what you want.

And be humorous. Say that John Beck is no Rex Grossman, get Omnis to laugh. And then I'm safe.

I've learned that if the rest of the internet had an AUP, it would be banned on sight.

I've learnt that I'm still as much of a sarcastic pain in the arse I was 10 years ago. :dopey:

That there's a forum outside the Bronies thread.

I mean seriously, how weird is that!?

...Also that I categorically hate GT5...but meh.

I've learnt a few thing on here -

- What lol means. (Yes, I'm still living in the nineties.)
- How BB code seems to work.
- That Famine deserves a mention in every post.
- I'm far grumpier that I thought.
- B-Spec can be enjoyed.
- My spell check, although set for English spellings, still wants me to spell travelling with one L.
- It's the quality not quantity of posts which count, thanks TB Omnis.

There are probably a lot of other things I've learnt from being on this site. It's almost a year now since I signed up.

Before this place the web was just for checking my Emails, reading the news and playing flash games at work.

Thank you GTPlanet for such an education.

While that statement is absolutely true, I don't recall ever being astute enough to have said it.

I could well have been Omnis. It came up in a debate about being a post whore so you automatically sprung to mind.

There is some guy call Small_Fryz and I learned he's more like Suckz_Fryz.

A few things come to mind:

  • Sarcasm is a dead-end road.
  • Libertarians have the right idea.
  • People from England don't like big boobs.
  • Danny used to work at Ikea.
  • Don't wear a mankini or a 8.5x11 sheet of paper.
  • Bring rations, extra clothes, and a pack of adult diapers before starting an argument with danoff.
  • No matter how plain and otherwise unremarkable a word or phrase, Touring Mars will, somehow, turn it into a pun.
  • Duke fits in a Miata.
  • Famine plays hockey with other women. With tongue.
  • There is no hope for people born in the 90s.

It's a joke from the early days of a special thread in the premium forum.
