I'm not going to complain about the popular complaints on the game, so I'll just give my complaint on what just happened to me in the game a few minutes ago.

First off. I REALLY like a lot of things in this game, but also share the same disappointments as many others have pointed out and I'm not sure if this one has been address already.

I'm sure everyone knows and HATES the fact that you mostly get GT 4 cars from the racing events (rediculously unsatisfying design choice), but hate EVEN more the fact that you cannot sell any awarded cars, but only delete them (thanks for the spit in our faces Kaz).

Well I thought it only applied to those cars... until now.

I just spent my first million dollars on the Enzo (which I thought would be a great car), which turned out to be a HUGE MISTAKE. I've only purchased 3 cars (Gallardo and Ford GT are the others) and the Enzo is the WORST I've bought. Not only does it sucks around corners, but the fact that customizing it is not only worthless for it, but tuning it to compete with real race cars is futile (GT All Stars Champ. SERIOUSLY Kaz where the heck are the downforce settings!? I can't compete if the spoiler on my car doesn't do anything to keep it on the ground!).

So you know what I decided to do? Sell it (after reseting the PS3 to erase the customization purchases of course). I figured i'd just get some of my hard earned money back and by done with the terrible car. Well my smallest problem with the car was taken care of (as it got rid of the car), but as I raced though the selling option; I failed to read the warning signs on "SELLING" and only noticed the "will be deleted" too late to take into consideration.

Once the car was... "SOLD", I was horrified to see that I recieved absolutely NOTHING for it. Not a single dime! W....T....FFUUUUuuuuuu!?

But thats not my biggest problem with this situation. My biggest problem with it revolves around something for the whole entire game itself. The AUTO-Save system. It needs to be OPTIONAL! I'm upset because I have no choice but to deal with this problem on the count that Kaz says so and I'm not going to delete and restart everything for the 3rd time!

Rant over... Seriously. 5 years.... and they some how managed to think that not only removing certain aspect that were good in the past games, but also managed to think that punishing the players for trying to relieve themselves from their bad choices in the game. And a load of other issues that don't need meantioning.

And yes I blame Kaz. He is the lead developer for the game. Everything he says... goes (unless Sony steps in)! He allowed it. Therefore it is HIS fault. I have lost much respect for PD.

How could Sony let them fall like this. I was the one who also made that thread on GT5 being a super nova. Haha man was I ever so wrong. :grumpy:

So I thought I'd bring this issue up.

Thankfully they are fixing some problems that shouldn't have been there to begin with quickly, so I not totally upset at them. Loving the gameplay now without the hud. :D

Selling the Enzo was your* mistake. It even says something along the lines of: "This car can not be sold. Remove it from your garage?" Then it allows you to choose yes or know. Read more carefully next time.

*You aren't Kaz = Not Kaz's fault.

You can back up your save now, so that helps :)

Get USB hub and have a flash drive always plugged and backup before starting every game session

You guys are missing his point. Why can't we sell a car we bought? Why does it only give the option to delete it?
Hell, I could at least got a few bucks in real life if I scrapped it for the metal in the block.
I had this problem with another turd of a car I was going to sell.

Can you say, 'user error'?

Can you guys say "what car cannot be sold in real life"?
Let alone an Enzo, which you could probably sell for - get this - more than you paid for it?

I hope neither of you dare bring realism up in these forums again. :sly:

I didn't say that I didn't think the fact that you can't sell cars isn't moronic. I simply said that it's the OP's fault, and not Kaz's, that he landed himself in this situation. I completely disagree with not being able to sell cars, but it's just the way the game is.

That point I fully agree with. It seems completely arbitrary to me which cars are sellable.

Cars that cost a certain amount can be sold. Once they are worth more, they can't. It's not arbitrary, it's just downright stupid, in my opinion.

Granted, due to grinding EXP for level ups, you will inevitably get quite a load of money anyways. But I've got a huge load of cars on my garage that I don't give a rats rear about, because selling them amounts to nothing.

Most cars sell for tiny amounts and the few that wouldn't can't be sold.
All things considered, I feel like the big idea was a simple one: 'Force' the player into collecting cars. I mean, we get little for selling them and are rewarded (with colours and such) for stashing them away... Seems like just that: A desperate attempt to make everyone a car collector.

I've got to say, though, with the birthday glitch and the ability to back up a safe, it's probably better this way. People would get millions of credits in a matter of minutes, otherwise... So there's something positive to it, at least.

Yeah, it's a user error, but so is restarting an endurance race when there should be a prompt. So is pausing the replay 1 second too late and having to start it over again to take your photo. So is buying a car to see how it looks with your favorite wheels, only to find out you can't change them. These are all flaws, plain and simple.

Did anyone else want to be a video game tester when they were younger? How does it feel? :)

Agree - annoying. Either let us sell all cars or none, not some stupid in between. I also HATE not being able to sell tuning parts like in Forza! I dump 500,000 credit into a car and get nothing more for it than if it was stock?

You have my support on the stupidity of not being able to sell cars. I mean I just bought my FGT a couple of days before 1.05. I wouldn't mind it in another colour. Guess what?
A new colour is gonna cost me 4.8 million! Why? because I can't even sell the FGT I payed 4.6 million of my hard earned credits for?
A bit ridiculous. I could have even accepted half it's value even but NOTHING?...

As much as I love the game I think the issue of not being able to sell some cars is ridiculous. I won a red and grey  Veyron and wanted to sell it, no way, now I'm stuck with a handful of expensive cars which I don't really like and I will never use, might as well delete the visual abominations from the garage.

If anyone is interested in an unused Veyron, Shelby Cobra 427 and some Buick let me know before they are deleted.

Hey I'd be interested in an unused Shelby Cobra, I love those cars!

I think some of the design was a bit poorly thought out, like the gift car tickets should not give you a car you can win in A-Spec or B-Spec (I won a Carbon R then another in a gift ticket, why!).

Who in the hell would delete the Shelby Cobra?

That car is a BEAST and scary as hell (and fun) to drive with no assists.

I suppose after my last comment that to ensure I don't come across as a total jerk I should mention that I totally agree with a lot of these complaints.

The resale value is terrible on cars, prize cars can't be sold, special cars can't be sold, and it takes into no account the amount of money invested into upgrades. In real life, if I bought a car for $15k and put another $10k into it, I'd sell it for around $25k, not 5k or less like GT5 does.

A simple yes or no option on quits and restarts is always needed, no reason why it wasn't there in the first place.

But once you know certain things like how the cars can be sold, then you've been warned and really can't blame the game for buying a car and expecting to sell it. Sure it should be able to sell for more, but it doesn't, now you know it doesn't you should act accordingly.

I dont like it how i cant sell Race or Rally cars or some concepts to be honest. Why cant i sell my S4 rally car?!I have 2 now! I only need 1...

With this new option. You can do just about anything to the game you like. All but gain levels. But as far as money and cars. You can have endless amounts right off the bat.

I have loadsssof concept cars that I want to shift... but I can't because they are unsellable and there is no point removing them, it is like chucking out a gift (esspecially when it dosn't take up space) but I would love to get money out of them.

It's not the car it's the color, plain white, no racing stripes. I will eventually buy the car blue with white stripes, just how I want it; why have two if I'll never use one. Same as the Veyron, it is a good car and a beast to drive but the color combination is plain silly and I refuse to re-paint my cars or modify them unless needed.

Wouldn't it be more reasonable if the car warned you when buying it that you can't sell it instead of after it's too late and you are down a million Cr?

I'd happily relieve someone of a Veyron they were going to delete. Cheaper than a rebuild on mine anyway!!

My complaint is with painting cars, or at least the C1 Corvette (well... not painting the C1 Corvette as it happens).

Having discovered that my date of birth produced... a 1949 Beetle (only year close I suppose) and rather wanting a C1 Corvette. I tried 1954 and... got a C1 Corvette in Black (same as Used Dealer). I sent it to my main Account (this was after they "fixed" the multi-send from a new account glitch). I get a nice Blue C1 at the second attempt and want to use the colour on the black one on my main account. No chance... I can't paint it. Why, what is so special about a Black C1?

Can you say "If I actually DID own an Enzo why on earth would I want to sell it"?

I'd like to now what the reasoning was behind setting a selling cap a ~500k credits.

Lol at you. You make it sound like it's the worst game in the world because you deleted your enzo without reading the warnings. Wernt you even interested by how many credits youd get for selling it? You just clicked sell > accept without even checking for any credits or warning. Nice.

The car is THAT terrible to drive that cost almost 5 times more than the 07 Ford GT (which performs better than the Enzo); Not to meantion it also has a two spoilers that cost 50,000 Cr. and have ABSOLUTELY NO EFFECT on down force and no tuning option for them.

Why wouldn't I want ot get rid of it ASAP? This is NOT my fault. This is PD's fault. The "Sell" option is suppose to be just that. TO SELL. Not to delete! If it was only deletable, then the option should only read as "Delete".

You guys seriously need to stop defending the developers flawful decisions (its pure fanboyism to deny them of their MASSIVELY unpopular design choices and blame it on the players).

Not to meantion it also has a two spoilers that cost 50,000 Cr. and have ABSOLUTELY NO EFFECT on down force and no tuning option for them.

Are you sure about this? For all the cars for which I've bought aero parts, they've appeared in the tuning menu under body/chassis section, and have added either a fixed or variable amount of downforce.
That's another thing that makes me say user error. I find it seriously unlikely that the spoilers on the Enzo are, to my knowledge, uniquely useless.
