I'm not sure if anyone can provide a true answer to this, but I can't help but wonder who is pushing PD into the actions they take. With the overwhelming negative response from some of their actions, why don't they listen more to the majority?

I just wanna know, if it isn't the fan base, who are they listening to when they do things like 1.07 and such?

I complained about the in-game restart button on this forum.
And BOOM, two weeks later it was fixed in the EXCACT same way as I suggested it to be.
coincidence? I think not...lol

We're not the majority. How many members are there here compared to the number of copies that GT5 has sold? We are very much a minority.

Sony. Obviously Sony makes money on hardware. The sooner the hardware wears out, the sooner Sony can sell the PS4. Explains grinding.

I can't find the "tin foil hat" emoticon.

You really think grinding is a scheme put in place by Sony to sell more hardware?

I thought everyone knew about the tank of manatees with the idea balls? They must put in every idea that the manatees pick or they will refuse to work:dopey:

I'm not sure that the OP specifically meant just GT Planet. Complaints about things in GT5 typically aren't limited to just this site but also show up in other GT boards elsewhere, so they're opinions not limited to just this community but rather extend to the GT community at large. Sure, it could still be argued that even the sum total of all the people of all the various GT boards is still just a slice of the whole GT5 community, it would still be the entirety of the GT5 players that are vocalizing their opinions on the game. We, the members of GT5 message boards, are sort of like representatives of the community as a whole.

This is one of the smartest threads I've seen in awhile. Great question.

In a word.....Kaz. It is his vision that has brought us this unique game. I think he is influenced by his life and own passion for cars, as well as japanese culture.

I agree that it seems that PD is deaf dumb and blind at times, but somehow they do know whats going on from time to time. PD is old school Japanese company that will not be forced by fans to do anything. Well at least until the fans stop buying the GT franchise.

I think it's his love for cars, and his love for money. Then add some fan love in there, and turn the blender on high. That's what I think.

I would say that the free market drives their decision making, but hey, I've always done well in Econ so what do I know?

This 👍

I don't mean that we as members of the site are a majority, but I'd bet the majority of players, if you asked every one, would disapprove of things like the trade limits, grinding, more whining, etc. And thanks to those of you offering constructive thoughts :D

They seem very vunerable to relative minorities blowing non-issues (i.e. duping) out of proportion, but far less responsive to majorites complaining about the annoying changes made to please the minorities.

Every time I get sad I just re-read that thread. Then the sad goes away.

Very good point. I have to agree. No matter how large of a group we think we are, we are but a humble bunch, and need to act in that matter. Our limited numbers aren't even a comparison to the game owners in Tokyo, I would presume. Why we assume differently is beyond my comprehension. Just my feedback. Take it as you will.
