These are what I want:
More unique tracks, Trial Mountain and Tokyo Expressway are fun because there aren't any other tracks like them. I doubt anyone requested that we have 20 layouts of Sardegna.
I also think that the car selection is disappointing compared to the other games in the series. I revisited GT4 and it felt like there were thousands of cars and manufacturers.
I think they should pretty much just bring back the lobby system from Sport, because the lack of quick chat and lobby control are much better in GTS.
They also need to do something with collectors level and the daily roulettes. The collectors level is useless once you've unlocked all the missions. The roulette needs to be updated to show the odds of each prize, because the way they present it is clearly misleading, because 99% of the time it's weighted to the lowest prize.
Lastly I think the need to lengthen the campaign and add races for the cars which otherwise have no use, like Gr.2 cars and LMP cars.

More fresh new tracks from the real world would go a long way to getting this game back on track, pun intended.

Not just more F1 style tracks too, we have enough of them IMO. Personally I like tight and twisty tracks, hillclimbs, a-to-b rally stages etc.

At least it's probably a given that they'll bring back some more old fantasy tracks too, I just hope that's not our lot.

Actual new content worth sticking around for.

Even if the AI and the way races are structured, and the weird design choices were gone, the fact that there are no new to the series tracks (and what was new was nostalgic pandering) and a little over 50 cars added from the end of GT Sport's life is an absolute crock of ****. Certainly not helped by the fact that they knowingly held back events that could have actually helped fill out the game so that people two months in aren't seeing this game, which was in development for close to a decade in whatever form, for the threadbare product that it truly is.

At the moment? I'd personally say too much to list. But then again, we've only had a single notable update since launch, and if they end up being monthly like in GTS, and introduce a similarly large quantity of cars over time, that list of missing things could get quite a bit shorter.

-A quick menu
-Music in time trial mode
-Ability to sell cars for game money
-Ability to change aid setting(s) in 2-player split screen
-Races for VGTs, Kei Cars, Gr.2 cars, a race for the otherwise useless '60s Fiat 500
-Earning money from doing time trials like in GT Sport
-Ability to disable/enable menu music
-Ability to restore car miles to 0 by buying a new engine**
-Ability to enable/disable fuel and tyre consumption in time trial mode
-Ability to undo widebody modification
-Ability to undo weight reduction modification(s)
-Lack of road car variants for some Gr2/Gr3/Gr4 cars (e.g. modern Beetle, Porsche Cayman, Lexus SC430)
-Glaring omissions from the car list (C8 Corvette, ACR Viper, 992 911, 1970 Dodge Charger, modern Dodge Challenger)
-Shuffle racing

**I'm aware it doesn't work like that in reality, but this is a video game and it would be nice to have the option to 0 mileage a car.

-Offline events
-Online events
-Real life tracks, new (like Road Atlanta, Road America, Sebring, Bugatti Circuit at Le Mans) or already seen in GT (like Motegi, Silverstone)
-Better car selection (still waiting for the BMW M1 procar, Ford Escort and Sierra Cosworth, Alfa Montreal-GVT6-Spider QV-Giulia Sprint GTA Stradale '65-modern Giulia GTA/GTAm)
-A decent penalty system
-A decent economy system
-A multiplayer mode like FM has (this is where all the fun is: quickmatches, classes, lobbies, track rotation, microphones, ability to vote to kick a player, tuning file swap for a specific track, and so on...)
-A marketplace like FM has (or had)
-Tuning on the go, while already on track
-TELEMETRY to help tuning, or to improve lap times for others
-Undo race, weight modifications

That's pretty much it.
Oh and course remove the online only thingy. But that will never happen.

The cast of world tracks from the Project Cars 2 and 3 and Ride 3 and 4.

Modern GT3 and GTE racecars, post '16, plus DTM and FIA GT racecars from the 90s and 2000s.

Specifically, more continental representation of circuits.

From the circuits in South America, the argentine Potrero de Los Funes and the brazilian Brasilia Autodrome. The african Kyalami, the chinese Macau and Shanghai, the indian Buddh, the korean Everland, the singaporean Marina Bay, the australian Albert Park, the turkish Istanbul circuit, the canadian Montreal.

I would eventually love to see GT7 become a "greatest hits" of every GT game thus far. Every track from every Turismo. It would be a massive undertaking. That's a huge amount of tracks to have to add. We would need plenty of events to do on each of these tracks. I would also like to see more events for all of the tiny low HP cars in the game, with a good challenge for each. It's always bugged me that the tiny cars are used for open PP "beginner" races on tracks that never get used again after they've served their "noob" purposes. Tiny cars can be just as much fun as our Gr2 cars and the competition could be just as fierce. A dirt championship with kei cars would be fun.

I'd like it if custom races paid out similar to the regular races. 6K vs 80K makes it hard to do when I'm still trying to buy more cars. Maybe later on it will be something I do more of.
Yeah definitely. I've resorted to collecting credits and cars first to be able to make my own grids and not have to think about the silly payouts. (48K for 12H race lol)

I started playing Forza 7 a few days ago and the options to set up races are so much better there. You can pretty much specify everything and set up multi-class races (without having to buy all the cars and pick from garage) with different victory conditions. You can specify how the AI races individually for each car if you want. (23 of them) The only thing GT7 has on F7 is 8 states for weather progression instead of 3 in F7. However F7 lets you set a percentage chance of rain and also has thunder and lightning, while GT7 has these obscure templates that might not produce rain at all during the race. A shame, since driving in the rain feels much more satisfying in GT7 with puddles actually having an effect as well as hydroplaning risks and dry lines to be aware of.

Frustrating, GT7 feels better to drive on a controller, yet Forza 7 has the content and campaign that GT7 is missing. I so wish I could drive my GT7 favorites (with GT7 physics) in Forza 7

In my opinion, a signature. Like the FIA Finals or GT Academy. Both increased the "real" factor for the game during their time. I suspect they have something coming, Sophy related maybe but I don't know.

What would do it for me would be online lessons from real drivers and experts. ie Ocon in a F1 car, Kobayashi in a LMP or Super Formula, drift lessons from somone from Formula D, tuning from someone who specializes in a certain car..... etc.. Real world info that helps in the game.
