Ok i got them both now can i get my favorties on firebird:confused:
You need a tool that will export you IE favourites into a HTML file. Then you go Bookmarks > Manage Bookmarks. In the Bookmarks Manager File > Import and open the HTML file.

Favtool will export all you IE favourites into a HTML file:

I didnt need that when I first started using Firebird. Firebird automatically imported all my IE favorites.

Yeah, but the only problem is Firebird doesn't update those imported IE favouries, so if you add an IE favourite, you have to go and add it manually to Firebird.

I should email the Firebird development team and ask for such a feature...

How do you cope with the fact that Firebird seems not to support standard Windows features? I have noted a few things that are a little annoying, principally in writing messages, which we all do in forums.

I'm running Firebird 0.7, which the last time I checked didn't support the use of the Control key to select whole words. And it definitely doesn't select the whole word for you when you only select a part of it, like IE does.

I still find IE to be a better browser, although obviously I do find it to be quite bloated.

I use Opera and Firebird principally for testing my web designs. Firebird in particular is extremely picky about Javascript formatting.

Firebird is still a beta browser, so missing features will be expected. But the fact of the matter is, it's bloatware free unlike all of microshaft's other products, available for all operating systems, and has all the major features that made me switch to mozilla. Even Mozilla is somewhat bloated when u compare to firebird. Another reason to love Firebird is that it's not easily affected by the billions of Browser Hijacks out there (lop.com for example). They're nearly impossible to remove all traces of no matter which anti-spyware/anti-hijack app you use.

I'm certain that by the time 0.8 is available, most of these minor annoyances will be fixed (hopefully soon)

if you guys like mozzila you should try slimbrowser it runs on your ie but doesnt have any of the problems that ie has and it lets you use all the regular hotkeys and it has tabbed browsing just like mozzila and the popup blocker and it uses your ie favorites plus it has a group thing where its like having folders in your favorites but if you put it in your groups what ever is in your groups it will launch all of them at the same time so if you do a lot of browsing say you have like 6 game site you go to and you dont want to keep going to your favorites to get them stick them in your group then when you open it they will all be there you just tab between them and i have to say form my experience it runs better and smother then mozzila did and i used it for over 6 months before i found slimbrower so if you want the same things but something a little eisier to use go try it http://www.flashpeak.com/ here is the home page have fun with it cause it is a damn good browser it also has a auto and manual translate program in it but i cant remember if you have to add it as a plugin or if it is just there but it is great for looking at pages that need transating

Gd post whore quit bringing up topics just to get you post count up you could have made you own thread about your browser.

Shut your mouth KM.

The post is only 20 days old. Anyways you seem to have a problem with post-whoring. I like to conclude that you don't know what grammar or banned means.

He was just trying to suggest something similar to Mozilla.

So, lay off the n00bs. Unless they revive thread older than 1/2 a year.

Both of you, shut it, immediately.

This was exactly the place Emeraldtiger should have placed his post. I shall be discussing this both with you privately.

Well, the reason I'm not using IE or any other IE based browser is that Mozilla's renedering engine (Gecko) is so much faster than that of IE's. If I was to use an IE based browser, I'd use CrazyBrowser.

Apparently IE6 will get a popup blocker in SP2, although that's not comming out for a long time. I suppose there is the beta version.

Yeah, but it's still a resource hungry.........thing.

Yeah.

You know what's wierd, when you browse Vbulitin sites with IE through our proxy at work. When you try to view a thread that has a large amount of pages (Colour blue) by clicking the las page button it comes up with a no thread specified error. MF doesn't do this using the same proxy server.

Jut thought i'd share.
